I used to say non-existent, thinking one day for whatever reason this will all come to a crashing halt.

But the more I think about it, the more I realize the internet is forming into a way of life. 10 years and booming - what the television was for my parent's generation is what the internet is for mine. The TV was a new way to communicate, just as the internet is today. And think about how big a business the internet will be then, with many more adopters and users who grew up with the internet, using it MORE than the tv as they grew up.

Lets imagine what the adult net will be like in 20 years - post your thoughts.

I was referring to that Internet2 is just a closed existing network - not new technology in year 2025 - I´m sure we have seen nothing yet when looking at "speed"...

OC-192 also exist today, however how many end-users are surfing from a OC-192 today - how many will in 2025?

20 years ago there were computers with modems, today we have computers with internet access, and I bet in 2025 we will have computers with super high speed internet access... the more thing changes, the more they stay the same.

Ofcourse how we interact with computers will change, but we will still use computers for the same things we have done for the last 20 years. I think we are going to witness much more revolution in our everyday life when it comes to robotics and genetics - the possibilities there have much greater influence on life, health, economy, local and geopolitics.
