I'm an old (52 next week) white dude. I don't care much for "hip-hop culture."

Does that make me racist? I would think that kind of odd, since I spent a couple of years in the Navy as an Equal Opportunity seminar facilitator - a career-building technique almost as pronounced as being a militant athiest in the Bush White House.

Look ... most people have cultural biases that have nothing to do with racism. Over the past several years I've heard a number of people who deliberately confuse the two in order to present the idea that racism is "normal."

i think everyone is biased towards people who share similar physical traits and attributes... i dont believe it is necessarily indicative of the presence of racism (depending on how you define racism i guess), but rather simple biology. like people always gravitate towards like people, whether that similarity is race, religion, intelligence, personal interests, economic parity and so on.

i would argue that "Your data suggest a moderate automatic preference for White relative to Black" is completely normal and should be expected, just as a Jewish person would have an automatic preference for Jews over Muslims or biker would have an automatic preferrence for bikers over accountants.
