Just saw on Fox News (fair and balanced) that a group of spammers based in Florida have just been grabbed by the FBI. Apparently its the first time they have used the Can Spam act to do this. Anyone heard anything about this ?

Not sure if its the same guys but this is messed up! some guy writes a virus to rob people and only gets a $3000 fine yet these guys are looking at a fine of $24,000,000!!!

what a joke!

The €3000 fine was in the EU - not the US... 2 very different legal systems :)

So it would seem that anyone wanting to do sleazy shit on the net should set up their operation in the EU. its better for the bank account :blink:
