I bought my son his first set of golf clubs today… Trev and myself are rather bruised. :wacko:

So i will have a bottle of wine tonight to ease the pain. :rolleyes:

Here in the north east of England we have the Tyne Bridge and Wear Bridge. They are hard enough for me to go over. But Canada has this big fuck off bridge that gets you lost. :blink:

Yes it is. And beleive it or not that bridge is whats going to change the world we all live in.

Until that bridge was built is was unsure if it was possible to span that long of a distance. And to further the dificulties the engineers also had to deal with 40-50ton icechunks floating down underneath it, constantly bashing the bridges piles.

Now why would this change the world we live in.?

The Bering Straight is the small ammount of ocean that keeps North America and Europe from being connected.

Until the bridge in PEI was constructed it was thought impossible to build a bridge to span the 50 kilometers (i think its 50 this is off the top of my head) across the straight. Now of course they know its possible and i can guarentee we will see this happen befor we die.

Can you imagine being able to drive from Toronto to London?

Imagine what it will do to the worlds economy, it wont hurt it you can bank on that.
