Not to be a critic, but why distribute it as a ZIP file when the PDF itself is already compressed?

I'll gladly deal with the extra few hundred bytes to save the extra step of unzipping and let me view it directly in the browser.

Not a critic at all and your comments are most welcome. It is just habit on my part to zip these up to download, rather than having them push straight to a browser. A pdf will tend to poll the server drawing down what it requires when it is required, by downloading it serves the pdf locally for those with dialup.

Yup, that's exactly how it is supposed to work. This way you can start reading pretty much as soon as you click the link. It'll continue to download the rest in the background while you read thru the first pages.

Same resources get used either way. Going straight to the pdf simply improves usability.

You'd be surprised at the number of dumbasses who dont know how to deal with a zip.

Point taken and thank you very much indeed :) I will make sure the pdf version is the only one availble from issue 3, to stop any potential issues with users and zips, most appreciated.
