View Full Version : GBU ..the new numbers are out

Nickatilynx

The figures have just been posted.

http://www.goodbadugly.info/top20.htm

And at No1 is steamray with 1 in 36!!!!

No2 is APS with a 1 in 204

Oh come on!!!!

I'm a fucking partner in the GBU and frankly I'm calling Bullshit!!!!!!!!

1.) How many hits are sent , not counted.
2.) How many signups? (For 1 in 36 ...I suspect errr ONE)

Seriously come on boys...

I am a partner in this and I am sure the integrity of the GBU needs to be maintained.

Hence why I'm not skulking about in private doing this.

I'd like some answers here...seriously those figures are a joke...

Anthony

I agree. Stats should show how many total hits were sent.

I did 1:12 with a program once, best 12 clicks I've ever sent anywhere.

Who are these programs?

What sites were sent too?

Nickatilynx
04-05-2005, 12:50 PM
Exactly , Ant!!!!

I mean this is when I dispair.

Its the fucking Mickey Mouse Club

I send certain people here traffic (cough) that is basically filtered to the Ninth degree and I can't get to those numbers over 10 joins or higher.

Serge passed on the GBU and I think its integrity is paramount.

These figures are to any webmaster with experience a joke.

And that is not decrying the programs listed.

I just do not believe we are showing a fair comparison

Anthony

Looking at that page, I can do the same thing choosing randomly from any programs out there.

What imho should be reported:

1. How much traffic was sent
2. What type of traffic was sent
3. Percentage of traffic from source
4. What sites were sent too or what niche
5. How many first pages, how many join pages
6. How much money was made off of said joins.
7. ROI of click

Just putting up ratios is bullshit. It makes no sense, and frankly I wouldn't believe it for one second. Anyone can put up numbers. I have no idea who those 2 top programs are, but am expected to believe they convert traffic that well?

Bullshit.

Anthony
04-05-2005, 12:56 PM
Just an FYI...

This was listed:

Gigacash
1:2167/1:1378 Gigaconverts

I don't know what type of experience the person has with traffic and signups, but if they think 1:2167 means Giga cash converts, then that person needs to be replaced with someone who knows what the fuck they are talking about.

GBU of old has always been the measuring stick. This new GBU is a joke. :(

How are the numbers compiled in total would be my question. ( not asking for the sources) just the methodology's

BillPMB
04-05-2005, 12:57 PM
Steamray? Give me a break.

uniques free signups pps earned chargebacks/credits
Totals: 9230 52 0 $0.00 $0.00

And that was targetted cam traffic. I pointed it back to click cash and then
kicked myself in the nuts for being so stupid in the first place.

Wow, what an unexpected turn of event...

In light of Bill's post of stats, I'd like to see the stats on the top 3 made public.

Ex - fucking - actly!!!!

Lets do it properly or lets not do it.

I mean every webmaster that knows this game spewed coffee over his monitor when he read those figures.

Seriously no excuse for it.

If thats what the RAW data said , it should have been looked into.

I mean its a fundamental, obvious and basic error.

I do agree that this information is vital to any stats. TheStatistician was doing it right if you ask me (or as close as humanly possible)

But for those crying for GBU of old, it didnt have any of that info.

Just an FYI.. Lars is not a sponsor here, and had the top spot last month as well if memory serves me correctly, though it's not for lack of trying on my part. :) And I'm still gonna keep trying to get him!! :agrin:

GBU of old did NOT have that info.

Why?

Because most of us Free Site webmasters sent our own traffic and saw for ourselves what converted. We all knew maxcash did well, we all knew Flash did well, etc.

Back then, there were only a handful of programs that made the list, funny enough, we all sent traffic to them.

Now, jump ahead 7 years. Who the fuck is Steamray? Most of us own or run programs now, we aren't free site guys anymore. It is only evolution of the GBU that it should include those aforementioned fields. What? Aga's wasn't enough to base off of? Or even Webfathers before that?

Come one!

This is a no spin zone. Be prepared to defend your data.

Hahahaha

My point being that I've got around 2000 dating hits a month and I'd want to make the most of them so I wouldn't send them to AFF because everyone and their dog is or has been a member...

If Forests already send 450 hit out of a possible 2000 then his ass is going to get sore. I'd go with IMLive or something like that...

How about a nice big fat FUCK YOU for a punch line?

Half the programs listed in the last 3 months are not advertisers and may never be advertisers.

I take exception when being called manipulative.

And some of you whining that your not in the top 20... Ill be happy to dig down and post your numbers as well where you convert less than 1:3000.

Evil Genius Cash will step up to the plate...we have no fear of real numbers
count the raw outbound clicks to us and use those numbers if it's felt ours can't be/aren't trusted....

any other sponsors want to step up and offer the same?

hell, tell us we only did 1:560 or so after only 560 hits...it helps us and affiliates that there is as much data as possible

Btw, anyone having unsatisfactory results with Streamray, feel free to give us a try. We certainly are not as over-exposed as them...

Ask MikeAI what kind of sales they did on very little traffic ;)

Alrighty then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What appears to have happened is an oversight and a misunderstanding through basically being swamped with work , stats , numbers and hits!!!! :)

These are high class "problems" to have.

The matter will be recified and actions are being taken by Gonzo , Myself and all parties involved to maintain the integrity of the GBU.

Announcement coming...

Just checked our streamray stats (we send very little typin traffic to them):

1 out of 6.76 uniques ends in a free signup
1 out of 94.8 free signups ends with a paid signup

That would translate into 1/641 signup ratio... so the average income is $0.07/unique.

Maybe our stats can be used to "decode" the GBU streamray stats ;-)))
