Site Consolidation And Linking Code Change

So, suffering from sleep deprivation and not really wanting to work, I decide to go through the sponsor folder in ye old email program.

Saw "Site Consolidation And Linking Code Change" in big bold letters from Max Cash, and thought "fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck ... there goes another batch of old links."

Imagine my suprise when I come to this sentence: "ALL old linking codes will work INDEFINITELY and there is no need to change existing codes."

Nice. Too bad more people don't think that way.

Pretty much what I thought too Bill - a whole heap of links on sites that will just be wasted because I haven't got the time to go back and change them.

It was a very pleasant surprise to see the rest of their email :)

But riddle me this...

What's to be gained by getting rid of tours which is essentially what is happening here?

Consolidating members areas into one mega-site....this I understand, makes sense.

However, you have all these niche tours that are sitting out there that they are getting rid of. They're going to redirect them to a tour for the consolidated site. Why?

If I have ebony traffic, I'm doing ebony promotion and filtering, i want it to go to an ebony tour. I want that user to know there's ebony content back there. Join page should tout all the other shit they're gonna get as a bonus.

What do you save?

You dont save bandwidth.

You have tours you no longer have to worry about updating, but hey, if the tour is converting for me, I give a rats ass if you ever update it anyway.

Hey Folks - thanks for the kind words : )

Yup - on the linking codes - the old will continue to work - indefinitely : ) But it behooves you to use the new ! Over years and years and years, there have been all types of adware and such that determine pops based on urls of ads - our linking codes have been consistent over the years - it can only be better to have the new codes out there and being used. Every hit counts !

As for the consolidation - there are just some sites that are not going to perform as well as others - whether being target marketed or not. With 50+ sites, there will always be over performers, standard performers and under performers. We ran some tests - in every case, the results showed that traffic redirected from the 8 consolidated sites to I Want Net Sex (IWNS) did much better. It resulted in more sales. Because the IWNS suite already houses each of those consolidated 8 sites, it just made sense to send it there rather than sending the traffic to another single site of the same niche.

By all means, if you want your black traffic to go to a single black site, go ahead and change out those Nasty Black Sex linking codes to the Ebony Fantasy or X Rated Black Porn codes (and hey ! Don't forget to grab the NEW linking code while you're at it - hehehe) But, believe me, IWNS does a great job - the tour is simple and surfers GET IT that the site contains ALL the niches/sites listed.
