I was over in the Dickhead Corner and saw this http://www.oprano.com/msgboard/index.php?showtopic=17337 I had seen a shorter version on GFY and wondered if this was the wave of the future or just a "smart webmaster.... Mr thumbs pointed out that it is generally hard to get submissions now.

Now I am wondering ... are submissions to link lists really so hard to come by that a webmaster has to give away $6500.oo to tempt webmasters to submit to their site? Or do you think this one is just trying to get this link List off to a quicker start than ost get? Is this a smart move or just a lose of cash move?

A contest is a good way to get attention. I know Renee. She knows what she is doing ;-)

I don't think that submissions are hard to get BUT I do think that getting good submissions (quality 1s) ARE hard to get

Agree.

Automated spammed submissions are easy.

You gotta have some serious traffic and be well known to draw a lot of high quality hand submits.

Marie seems to get a lot of good submissions for her various link lists but what really pisses you off are the board identities who submit - get listed - and then redirect.

That really is low and it really does suck - but then some people just can't help themselves.
