Whats the worse Poker beat you ever had

I had mine last night NL Holdem...1900 players playing down to last 200 or so , I'm prolly 10th , chip leader on my table.

I'm avoiding him. Blinds are 300/600

I get Ace/Jack in seat 5...no one even limped in so I raise it.. up to 3 bets to go.

he doubles me..I think hmmm something good maybe middle pair or bigslick...hmmm oh well.. fuck it , I call...

Flop comes J/J/4...I think all my christmases have come at once..

so I check it..

He bets 12k...so I go all in hoping he hasn't 2 4s or a jack and 4 ( surely no moron will raise a raise with j/4 or even 2 4s.)

He flips two aces...I'm happy as shit as I have one of the aces he needs :)

River comes up an Ace.

I mean seriosuly in the real world I'd have shot the dealer then him..

Fucking Franklin, the Pai Gow Poker dealer at the MGM Grand....

This fucker would show up and turn the cards ice cold for 3 days straight. I kept waiting for him to make the same offer as the dealer in Chevy Chase's Vegas Vacation. "Why dont you give me half of what you were planning on spending, I'll take you out back and kick you in the nuts and we call it a day!"

I LOST a Pai Gow Poker hand where I was holding a straight flush in the top hand and a pair of 10s in the bottom. Not PUSH....but LOST... Fucker pulled a higher straight flush and a pair of aces.

After that one, I would just get up and leave the table anytime he'd show up and take over.

To me, the most annoying beats on Holdem are when your opponent has stuck through until the river and makes their hand on that card. But then again, they are great if you are doing the same and pull it off :biglaugh:

One happened last night, single table tourney. Had trip Aces on the flop ended up all in. The guy I was going against got a full House on the river. :angry:

Last Satruday had pocket Aces 3 times and lost on every one.

That's just fucking brutal. :( Pai Gow is essentially a push game.

He was already in for $400 so calling another $364 to win $1,164 puts his pot odds at about 4:1. Even with his big stack, that is still a terrible call. Fuckin pisses me off when bad play gets rewarded.

Thats why I stick to the no limit cash games online.

I could post 2-300 bad beats, but the ONE that sticks out in my mind is as follows.. It has been so long I couldn't find the hand history (RIGHT after paradise started mtt's which I think was a little over a year ago.. maybe 18 months)..

Seat #5 - 2.5 million
Seat #6 (me) - 2.2 million

I have AKh preflop.. blinds were I am pretty sure 30/60K I also have the button

Seat #5 raises 3BB (180K), I re-raise making it 1/2 million... folds around so the action is HU between me and seat #5.

Flop Comes A82 rainbow.... I bet out 250K, he raises250K, I push my stack in the middle - he calls I think I might be in trouble for a second but this guy has been playing erradically so I know I have him...

He flips over (no I am NOT lying!) T9o - I am looking at my AK and thinking I have the trny (and about 10K) wrapped up.

Turn comes a 7, and guess... river is a damn J

I go out fourth place with around $2K instead of the $10K I would of had if he didn't play this hand.

Over the last (God knows how many years) I have ran into HUNDREDS of bad beats this is the ONLY one that sticks out, and I have had one outters hit me in PLO with $1500 pots... Yet this one still gets me when I think about it, ugh !!!

I was waiting for someone to say something.. LOL !!

I bought into a PLO $100 table with $20 and ran it up to $200. I decided to take a shot at the PLO $1000 with minimum buyin of $200 and ran it up to that $2500 !! Was an insane rush. I still have $1K left in my bankroll to play $25 PLO - I feel 50 - 60 buyins are needed to sustain the game. I make a few hundred per week playing and occasionally take a stab at higher limit games for fun :)
