Lucas: Final Star Wars movie not for kids

Film-maker George Lucas has warned parents the sixth and final Star Wars movie is not suitable for young children.

Iconic director Lucas has told fans new movie Revenge of the Sith will be the darkest and most violent in the series, as Anakin Skywalker makes his hugely anticipated transformation from a promising Jedi apprentice to become evil Darth Vader.

All five previous Star Wars films have been rated PG (Parental Guidance) in America, but Lucas expects the final piece of the Star Wars puzzle to be rated PG-13, which strongly cautions parents about the film's content.

Lucas tells American news show 60 Minutes, "I don't think I would take a five or six-year-old to this. The film is much more dark, more emotional. It's much more of a tragedy."

I've seen the NEW trailer. It looks mildly cool and interesting, but I'm honestly just not that excited by this, most probably the last, star wars movie.

It feels like Joel Schumacher took control of the star wars franchise somewhere and said:

'lets do what we did to batman. make alot of awesome special effects action sequences, put alot of unusual colors into it, and make it loud!'

'but joel, what about the acting, story and plot. you cant just ignore the fans of the original movies'

'sure i can. just watch me.'

To me, the new star wars movies are like two trains about to collide ... its like two fat chicks dancing together in a night club ... you know its terrible, horrible and wrong; but you just can't look away.

I thought I heard they were doing 1,2, and 3 as prequels then renaming the originals 4,5, and 6... I also heard there was going to be a 7,8, and 9 this was when the first new one... or Star Wars 1 came out a few years back..

Did they change their minds?

Yeah I was prettu unimpressed with Star Wars 1 - although it does look BADASS on my HDTV with a progressive scanning DVD player and the Bose surround sound ;)

The plot and overall movie left alot to be desired - I watched 4,5, and 6 prior to watching 1 just to bring back all the memories... Shame they didn't do a better job with the first two as they could of easily got 3 prequels and 3 sequels out of that franchise.

On another subject has anyone seen the previews for that new movie - The ad looks like it is a Tarrantino film but someone else directed it. I caught another preview of it today and NOW it also says "Guest Director - Quentin Tarrantino". That movie looks like it will have some crazy scenes!!
