We have great pleasure and pride to announce that Sexines - The Magazine, aimed at newbies and wannabe webmasters is now available "Here" (http://www.oprano.com/sexines01.zip) initially with more url's posted later on this evening.

You will need an updated version of adobe acrobat reader, which can be obtained from here http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html in order to display this magazine.

It is a monthly release from oprano.com with this being the first, in a very long line of issues that will be delivered, dealing with all aspects of becoming an adult webmaster.

The magazine was due to be released on Friday the 4th March, but since there were no legal restrictions, we wanted to pass it out to you first on oprano.com.

We want to thank everyone involved, in all stages of this magazine, from the humble origins to the final product and you know who you are. :wnw:

The file is a zipped pdf file, which although has no password on the actual zip, the pdf does in order to open it.

The password required upon opening the pdf is opranodotcom and it is case sensitive ;)

Issue 2 layout is now well underway, with approximately 2 weeks until article/advertising cut-off for that issue, due out on 5 April.

I would just like to remind ALL sponsors on Oprano, whether text, button or banners that you get free advertising in the magazine, and will require you have your adverts in by the time of cut-off please. You will need to speak to The Enforcer about getting the appropriate advertising space reserved. This advertising in the magazine will run for the lifetime of your sponsorship of Oprano.com

If you wish to purchase advertising, you will need to download the http://www.oprano.com/sexines.pdf which contains file formats and specifications your designers will require.

Looks great.

My only beef would be that its very hard to read something designed for print in a digital form.

What Im wondering is if this is actually going to stay permenantly in electronic form, why design it for print?

best design for informational web media is this: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/03/04/bp...re_settlements/ (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/03/04/bpi_fileshare_settlements/)
or this:
http://www.tomshardware.com/business/200503031/index.html

I could read those all day...

Thanks for the kind words DrGuile, the magazine is designed so that end users can choose whatever pages they want printed out on their own systems, if they chose to do so.

There are no plans to have this in print whatsoever, it is designed in a print environment to allow searchable aspects within the magazine, or it would just be flat bitmaps.

What is it you are saying, you would like more of a contrast between the type and the backgrounds?

Bite me newbie

What I meant is what is good for print isnt viable for the web and vice versa, in most case.

This digital mag, built for the web, is made with print concepts, which makes it less pleasant to read.

That's all.

The idea of having people print it out themselves to read it is valid. (of course why would they print out the advertisement..... ;) )

HOLD THE PRESS!!!!!

Stay tuned!!!

It seems the zip file was triggering some virus scan alerts....we are 99% sure its just a false positive, but we are checking it to be sure.

We are also taking this opportunity to rectify some spelling and crediting oversights.

Please stand by..

Humble apologies people, we had some serious issues with a member of staff here, he was employed to help with the magazine and completely fucked things up and this was just the straw that broke the camels back.

He has now been dismissed and everything is back to normal with regards to the links.

Our apologies go out to the great people at Klixxx for their kind help in sorting this out and their extremely kind words

Thanks guys :rokk: :rokk:

Congradulations to everyone for their hard work - it certainly paid of!

I was thinking of printing up the BJ pointers, making about 1,000 copies and start handing them out to women at the mall.

GBU is in the middle of a redesign. Translation... degisner is dragging his ass.
You can find the top 20 converting here.

http://www.goodbadugly.info/top20.htm

The rest of the list is being updated as far as if they pay reliable or not and we are adding in some GBU service providers as well

Good articles now that I've read it through too. :)

Newton did a fantastic job and great articles. My thanks to all that submitted articles. Awesome peeps.

And my cuntiness to those who said they would submit articles and bailed ;-))))

I like the way that it is downloadable , but was wondering if it could be concerted into a website?

I have chatted with a number of people as has Newton and know that Newton is very open to suggestions.

The main problem converting it to html etc , is time constraints , I believe.

Any thoughts from Opranauts.

Download it here btw :

I think the cartoon worked on many levels...

Notice:
Serge is the only one with a big mouth.
Serge and I are the only ones that have no glasses of any sort
Serge is the only one with no nose
I have the biggest nose

There are now 4 days for sponsors ads and any articles/submissions to be sent to me,

Thus far I have received no emails regarding items for sale (domains/equipment/software etc) so please make sure if you want them in Issue 2, you have contacted me on newtonxxx at gmail d0t com and you will get a receipt for your entries that are going in.

If you have any questions regarding inclusion or the rates, please contact me or download the first issue, which contains the rate card (www.oprano.com/sexines01.zip with the password opranodotcom).

IF you have advertising on Oprano.com, whether a text advert/button or banner, you are entitled to FREE advertising within the magazine.
