ROCHFORT BRIDGE, ALTA. - A raid on a suspected marijuana grow operation in rural Alberta has left five people dead – four of them RCMP officers. It is the single worst multiple killing of RCMP officers in modern Canadian history.

Personally, I'm flying my flag at half mast today.
This is quite sad. :(

well that's too bad. but....

"the single worst multiple killing of RCMP officers in modern Canadian history."

that's not too bad. pretty safe country. 4 american cops would have blown the perp into 50 million pieces after the first fired shot though. wonder how the training process is there.

sucks for their families.

re-read what you wrote there.

Consider the stupidity.

Let me retract that.
I don't mean to call your words stupid. My apologies.

But how much sense does it make to suggest that RCMP police officers are trained in a sub-standard way? Or by saying, "that would be a walk in the park for our guys"...

That kind of south-of-my-border mentality bothers me.

Follow the great logic. Country is safe, not many Cops ever dies. It must be because they are poorly trained and we'd have been better off with trigger-happy gun jockeys...

hmm...

in the article it did say that the officers killed were junior officers ( did they mean in age? or were they referring to the training level?)

with that said it is a great tragedy indeed to see police killed in the line of duty.

( for the record I do not agree with the duty they were doing at the time) but that is an entirely different matter .

I do however to touch on what pushpills is saying, believe that more training for raids will surely be ineveitable now after this tragedy, and Drguile the reason our cops are so "trigger happy" ias because this has happened many times over and ten fold here !

how do you think the next cops going into a situation like that in canada will act now? hmmm maybe they will be a little more nervous and " trigger happy" too you think?

people unfortunatly are a product of their environment more often than not.

Stop being so defensive. If anything Grogran was commenting that american cops are trigger happy.

I particulary don't like the RCMP with the numerous run ins I had being "Profiled". My good thoughts to their families.

Though the time i flew back to a party at my house and 3 minutes later the cops knocked saying someone drove the 600SL up the hill at incredible speed , and I said..

"Yeah I know that kid is a lunatic , thankfully he just got a cab for the airport back to England"

You have valid points. I broke no laws. Remember when you were behind me and I got pulled over in the Viper for not "Signaling"? How about the time I'm behind you up to Whistler, you and familia in the S class, me and Red in the ML?

Both times, put through the ringer. I even took my sunglasses off with the Whistler episode before we got to the checkpoint.

It sucks being a minority where the miniroity is profiled. I understand what black males complain about in the US.

(sigh)

I rest my case....

But add....

The souped up fucking stereos could be heard 2 miles off on most cars...even the ML

PLUS with Red in the car he prolly gave the Police what he thought was his "I'm a very friendly and inteligent person who you'd probably find interesting to know" grin.

You know the one...

I agree that that your aforementioned variables play into the profiling.

It still sucks ass. :(

What was it we were asked once, if we were farmers? LOL

You have to take into consideration that Groagan is from Chicago.

I would be very suprised if any member of the RCMP would be qualified to be a Chicago cop.

I suspect that all of the RCMP would pass the intelligence test.

Damn, canadians are some crybabies. If you can't figure out what I said, take a few more days, I hear you guys can be a little slow sometimes.

yea I said "too bad" twice, first it was too bad, then this is not too bad.

I guess I should have capitalized "TOO" in the second part or changed it to "so", but I thought everyone could follow it the way it was.
