Would you agree that whales come from distinct areas...
( lets say for argument a real whale sends 50 joins per day sustained.)

1.) Mail Whales
Which affiliate programs still accept non can spam compliant mail.
ahsahahahahahaah , answer = sush , Nick we all do ,but we have to so it covertly.

2.) Domain Whales

3.) SE Whales.

???

Any others

I only deal with one kinda whale. Though the SE whales are starting to take off a bit here and there.

4.) tgp whales

5.) "other" spam whales (aim spam, chat spam, message board spam, etc can all add up....but can all get you in trouble)

Personally, 90% of my "whales" are SE traffic.

I'd agree.

If someone can do 50sales a day (sustained) from TGP submitting , hell I'd be impressed.

For the same reason they don't open their own affiliate programs and send their traffic to themselves :awinky: You stick with what you know best.

It's a good relationship as it is - we all make money. :)

90% of mine are mailers

I got one guy doing better then 1:90 on intl traffic right now
1:143 with US traffic

I think sexmoney probably does about 1k a day over all our offices

They get them for free....

SE whales are usually not in paid rankings, they're in actual rankings....

Correct...

They get them for free.

But you pay them.

Why not just check which keywords kickass , and buy them LOL

It seems to be working :)

Note these are MY whales. WEG and G3X also has a lot of big affiliates sending traffic via mailers and of course from exits on other large sites. Both of these things we do also - sending to our sites and to other programs.

Might we someday do SE work ourselves? Possibly. Will we go in and copy keywords and screw over our own affiliates in order to do it? No. Money isn't everything. We have good relationships with these people and don't want to hurt that.

turning over the spammers after the company gets too much heat, and still keeping the profits would be one popular way.

We don't let just anyone mail for us. They must be well known to us, be CAN SPAM compliant and double opt in. If we get compaints, you're told to stop mailing. If you continue, your account is terminated.

Actually when it comes to tgp whales, it's not always the owners. I know a pair of kids that were both ARS and Maxcash's largest affiliate concurrently, who were buying Hun listings and making their own galleries. This went on for quite some time. Spending a couple grand a day to get listed and bringing in much much more than than as a return.

So...

"The Hun" could have told them to fuck off and just tweaked some galleries of his own and put them up himself , cuttinmg out the middle man?

No. The Hun doesn't do galleries of his own. The spots are all pre-paid through Cybercat. Patrick's philosophy is that he'd rather have guaranteed money in hand and pay his broker a healthy commission on it than take a chance on actually having to convert some traffic in order to get paid.

Firtsly meaningful "free" SE traffic aint free no more!

There is as much to creating good SE spam as there is to mailing from what I hear..without the jail sentences and fines though !

You certainly couldnt just copy keywords etc or sites and expect to rank anywhere..even thorough reverse engineering of a site or network would not necessarily help..there are many things to consider..and then every engine is different too..it gets harder and more expensive every day..

they're out there, but they arent known, and their is not a lot of them. they all work hard for their money :)

to give you an example, i was hit up buy a guy just yesterday who sends out 80 sales a day, or so he says :)
