ive watched over the past few months as ive continually sent lots of good traffic to lots of programs - conversions are sucking ass more and more these days

used to get nice conversions like 1:300 and now its 1:1300
trends are not going nicely right now

What are you experiences - are any programs actually converting uniques in - in decent low conversions amounts

Well - Marie's and my experience is that our sign ups are coming from very low traffic numbers sent to small niche sites - and search engine traffic sent to a bigger sponsor with a less well known niche site.

Traffic going to Top Bucks, Nasty Dollars and the other big guys is just not converting.

We were talking to another Webmaster yesterday who was regularly scoring 1:60 with Top Bucks and that has now blown out to 1:800 - he's now making 90% of his income from mainstream.

Use CCBILL Sponsors and SE traffic in Different fetishes/niches.

PPS sponsors are way to erratic in ratios from my experience which I must say is pretty limited.

I use ccbill for 90% of the stuff I promote.

Ratios are on a Bad Day 1:600 and generally between 1:5 and 1:200-300.

Two pps sponsors I was using were converting 1:400 from a mix of se and exit traffic for 2-3 periods then went 0:16000 and 0:55000 respectivly.

I sort and filter traffic and keep a close eye on my stats.

You can buy adwords traffic for $0.09 per click and make $$ with ccbill sponsors but every attempt to do the same with PPS has been a great waste of money so far.

Fetish sites generally have better retention, my average amount of rebills per join is 3-4 months.

All traffic is worth something, if one sponsor does not give you a return for your traffic investment move on and swap them out.

There are other variables you can control in conversion ratios by the methods you use to make the sale.

Did someone say CCbill programs?

See the button below

Now the spam is out of the way

From 1/1/2005 through 3/2/2005 Cloud 9 Cash Affiiliates are doing 1 in 643

Fair number, not great but better than some of what is being discussed here

I guess that has a lot to do with it, I'd also say thats why fetish sponsors do so well even in the slow times.
The fact of the matter seems to be if you specialise in niches that are not readily available for free the surfer is more likely to be happy to pay to get thier rocks off.

Thats why the ratios are much better.

The other thing to keep in mind is there are so many porn sites around trying to sell with the same sponsor content the surfer may have seen what you are trying to sell with before many times ansd will say to themselves "seen that" and move on.

There are so many factors we can control and tinker with to take into consideration before pointing the finger of blame squarely at the sponsors.

ok, I don't want to brag, (well, maybe I do), but our ratios are really good. Now this may be due to the fact that the program is only a month old and I'm not getting much traffic, but here's an example.
2 weeks ago Dixie Trailer Trash (http://www.dixietrailertrash.com/afentry.html)
only got 3274 unique hits, but we had 33 sign ups. ratio is 1:99
Valerie Exposed (http://www.valerieexposed.com/afentry.asp) only had 420 uniques, but 10 sign ups. ratio 1:42

Now I'm sure once my affiliates start pushing more the ratios may get worse, but right now, the sites are converting.

RED,Thats exactly the kinda thing I'm looking for :okthumb: . Sounds like a believable/achievable ratio to me mate. And yes ratios will probably get worse as new affiliates try to use the just throw any old traffic at it and see if it converts method :) .

I used to be one of those :)
Untill one day I woke up and realised my shithouse ratios were largely due to me not sorting/filtering traffic properly.

The only numbers that tell me a sponsors true worth are the numbers printed on my checks.

It's a simple equation :

Good targetted traffic + Good Honest sponsor that knows thier niches well = Good Profits for both of us.

This may not be what you are looking for, but on a cam site like ours, privatefeeds.com, once you get a few regular customers, your ratio can be pretty amazing...

What I mean is that its like recuring on steroids. The idea is that if you send one new customers every day, and that customers makes 1 purchase per day, you can see how the total number of sales a day will grow exponentially....

That's the idea behind recurring programs too, but the difference is, our clients buy alot more often than once a month, and alot more than 30-40$/month!

of course, everything always works best with targeted/filtered traffic.
