There already is a "private board" here.... (No! say it isn't so!)

What about a private family board , with high standards for asmittance?

Where things could be openly discussed and ideas exchanged far from the public eye.

What I mean is a real tight network board.

The private board Ant ran for a while seemed to work well, while people were active there. Things were being discussed that definately wouldn't have been talked about on a public forum.

I think it's a good idea, but be careful not to make it something which would alienate people who are not members.

Granted there are things I won't discuss openly

Depending on what the topics were I suggest this...

I would like to have it keyed on post count. When you reach x amount of posts you are automatically upgraded to this group and the forum appears on your list.

Its a good way to filter out people who dont contribute, people who visit only when boardtracker goes off to pimp their crap, and drive by spammers.

I think post count on boards are highly overrated - well maybe not on oprano ;-) - but in a broad sense. Got to have some flexibility build into it - too many people with no concept of business do know how to post, and many people who are all about business seldom post, if not at all... I´m not sure who you want to attract, but if its the last group, then I do not think post count will work. Just my 2 cent.

But for example , Nickdark and Mr.Benn would be some of the first I'd nominate.

And they rarely post.

We tried to do something like that on a big escort biz board we own....Post count not only let's too many morons in, makes everyone else bitch about it all day. So, eventually we just did an invite only secret board. Worked great for 3 years, till one asshole told the whole world about it and posted private stuff in public places.
