I have a good friend of mine, a female friend, who writes fantastic erotic stories, great reads for women or so I'm told.

She does this as a hobby, and I got to thinking if there was any opportunities out there for someone such as her to perhaps sell her stories to paysite owners or webmasters?

Are there places out there that will buy well written stories? Especially ones targeted to women?

I know nothing at all about this side of the industry, so go easy on me if I'm asking any obvious questions
:)

Yug, your questions aren't obvious at all. Unless you work in this end of the business, you wouldn't know.

It's difficult to just start trying to sell to paysites on her own since she is not established.

The best way for her to start would be to contact a story provider. They can either act as her broker and sell her work, or she can become part of their team to do custom stories. Here are 3 she can start with:

http://www.writtentemptations.com/ contact Wicked Temptress

http://www.sinfulwords.com/ contact Coy

http://www.sex-story-text.com/ contact Marie

I know Wicked Temptress doesn't require writers to sell exclusively through them, I'm not sure how Coy and Marie work from that acpect, but I'm sure they could tell you. If she can sell through more than one place, she should. Also, don't forget that a broker will get a percentage of the sale.

Now, to sell through those three sites, her work has to be top quality, so she needs to contact them and send a sample of her writing.

You might want to tell her to come here to the forum if she has any questions, or would like to get opinions on her work. If it's great, we'll tell her. If it needs improvement she'll get constructive critisism on how to improve so she can be marketable.

Thank ya Red :)

Yes, we do broker stories and no we don't require that the writer sell exclusively through us. All your friend needs to do is send an email to submit [at] sinfulwords [dot] com and we'll be more than happy to review the material.

There most definitely is a need for well written for women erotica ... thank you for asking :agrin:

Yug - Sex Story Text works a little differently because we don't actually broker stories. The system Marie uses is more along the lines of a commission to write a certain story or article.

That way, the author knows that their work is pre-sold and payment is guaranteed.
