Bah.. Texas Hold Em baby.... the KING of poker!! You need to go play live at a casino!! Forget bringing other people along, they do nothing but distract you and make you leave when you don't want/aren't ready to!

More math calculation and skill at 7 stud.Helmuth and Lederer both agree.

NL appeals to the adrenalin junkies screaming "all-in"

:)

Oh no. Adreniline isn't the appeal of No Limit at all to me. It's getting and using that chip strength as a fucking hammer. :rokk: There is no better and more enjoyable way to get in a persons head on a live (real) money game than being at a no limit game with a massive chip lead and knowing how to bludgeon people to death with it. Remember that night I told you about where I won $2750. People were whining and bitching up a storm at that table all night .

"Don't let him bully you like that!"
"Somebody please call him! Don't let him get on a roll!"
"You are having cards come out of your ass!"

When I finally left I went up to cash my chips out at the end of a marathon session cause I was tired as all hell and it was starting to effect my play a bit the table superviosrs were laughing their asses off about how a steady stream of people were coming up to the table and cashing out and/or getting their player cards and just bitching and whining about how much of a bully I was being. Now THATS fun. :agrin:

If that was the only factor for what's the best game, then Omaha Hi-lo would be the game of choice... :D

Yea, it's a fun game for me, but I still find hold'em my favorite... I just tried that new "step challenge" thing at party poker and currently have a entry into step4, anyone else tried it?

No I haven't tried it yet.

Winning the top pays 4500 which is nice.

I'm just happy now that there is more 7 Stud Tournys.

Yea, the ROI on the challenge is great! $11, 5wins(even a few 2nds will do) for $4500...

Better than the $10 buy-in to the PP cruz tourney which I won and sold back for $8500 because I had to beat out 700+ twice to win it... :groucho:

I just can't imagine enjoying online poker as much as live poker. There is something TRULY enjoyable about watching some schmuck go on tilt after you just wasted his ass when he thought he had you!!

Or flopping 4 of a kind and then have someone make their full house and going all-in only to have you call them a micro-second after they go all-in and watch their face and listen to a stream of obscnities ring through out the casino!! :P

Live is much more fun, which I've done for about 15years... but it's also nice to win $4500 while sitting around in your boxers on Sunday afternoon...

The pokerrooms or casinos always seem to frown on me playing in just my boxers...

I've never played poker live. :(

Well except home games. And people won't play with me anymore. :(

Something about the singing , the shouting BOOM! and the general gloating and taunting makes them uninterested :(

But there is the Coquitlam Casino nearby , and the new Richmond casino has just opened.

My only card playing friend left that will still play with me is Stripclubguru , but he gets bored after 20mins lol.

So any Opranauts that live nearby hit me up and lets go sometime

I keep telling you you need to go by yourself. Other people are a BURDEN on you when playing poker!! If you go to a casino with someone else and plan to play poker that session isn't a serious session.

I won a seat on last years trip, but they offered a cash-out to all who had seats because it was overbooked, and I firgured the guaranteed cash in hand was a better deal for a $10 investment...
