Some TGPs are better than paysites

I signed up to a VERY well-known paysite today to do a little research. I would NOT have renewed as a surfer because the site wasn't even as good as an average movies TGP.

I don't want to give too many details as I don't want to name names (I'll take their business anyway).

I think I might have to do some more research.

The only site I have signed up for is one of the local SEG sites.

Gotta say , they have a LOT of content.
The site is well designed and very very good.

Funny thing..... I was getting in with a waitress at our local Italian a while back...

Found her on the Sweets. LOL

Some of the staff were like "I could never date a girl after she had been through the Sweets" ...me? I looked at it as more a "coming attractions" trailer

over the years, I've seen many member's areas and they look really bad...

everyone likes to bitch about all the free porn given away on TGP's and how it affects ratios, but then I see the inside of some member's areas and think "well, no wonder you can't retain, your sites look like shit"

a lot of TGP's have become little more than thumbnail circle jerks and quality, unique content still does well with the traffic

maybe on shitty cookie cutter members areas with only 4-5 picture sets in the niche the site is supposed to cover...

I join sites from other programs pretty frequently these days to see where we stack up against them. Tours are one thing, the ass end is where you keep them obviously. I've seen some shit member areas and some shit hot ones.

I have seen more shitty areas than good ones... but the same goes for TGPs ;-))

But seriously, I remember the time when member areas went from important to less important - cut almost 80% of our members area cost overnight, and had the same conversions/recurrings ;-))

Ofcourse today it is different - content is now more an investment than an expense, and the trick is to find the right balance between "good" and "filler" content.
