I need ideas. I want to develop some new desktop apps, just because.

So, what kind of desktop utilities are you looking for ?

What is your dream little program that you wish you could get someone to put together ?

Same thing server side..

What little script do you want to see that you haven't been able to find ?

If you were in charge of the world, what would you have your server be able to do for you ?

I currently have desktop code laying around for image manipulation, disk organization, automated ftp routines, encryption, automated rss feeds, forum parsing :) all sorts of shit and I am trying to come up with the best ways to use it :) At the same time, I am porting a lot of it to php for server side stuff

Thanx in advance :)

What about something that could deliver a double shot Java along with a nice Port - perhaps it could wear tight black PVC skirt at the same time.

I did have Marie trained to do all that but ... well ... you know what wives are like...

:)

i would like a reliable counter with detailed stats with an easy-on-the-eye layout, preferably in anything except for javascript

a simple gallery rotation script with a few basic tools

and i cant think of anything else right now, lol but i'm always looking for simple progs that make my life easier

automation is key

This post is useless without pictures.

You couldn't begin to imagine how far my wife has led me astray - admittedly she didn't have to drag me

I want something that detects an attempt to install malware and then traces the malware back to the source and gives the owner a barbed wire catheter.

Thanx Jerry, I will, but it will probably be a while. I am on the laptop and don't run my icq across the wireless. When I am downstairs I will fire up icq and add you :)

I think there is a patent on that already :(

I'd like a barbed wire catheter for my slave - I think he might like that as part of his CBT sessions :)

How about a program that will zap a programmer with Taser-like quantities of electricity whenever they tell a lie about an estimated completion date?

Programmers don't ever lie about estimates... That's why we call them ESTIMATES... :nyanya:
