Glad I picked this one. Everything is perfect. super bright, no dead pixels, very crisp, and handles my heavy graphical winamp plugin so the response time is fine.

It's still 305 w/ free fedex shipping if anyone wants one. It's got my seal of approval.

that's a very good price for a 19" LCD. I've been looking for LCD monitor here but looks like the 15" LCD alone is as expensive as what you got there.

19" is coming down. I would wait, the extra screen real estate makes a difference.

I was able to get a NEC 19" with good quality specs (16 ms response time, etc) for a little over $400 back before Christmas.

I wouldn't consider anything under 17" at this point.

A 17 inch LCD has almost as much viewable area as a 19 inch CRT, so they're pretty large too. 19 inch LCD's are massive. They've come down in price big time down here as well. About the AU$400 mark.

I still have an old sony 24 inch CRT. but i mostly work off laptops now, when i need to dock, i have an 18.1 viewable sony flat panel.

LOL, I am always behind the times... I used a 15 inch LCD with 1024 X 768 FOREVER. I just got a 17 inch LCD with 1280 X 1024 and I LOVE it. I don't see a reason to go to 19 inch personally as the text would just appear smaller and my eyes hurt as it is.

However Dell has an incredible 20.1 inch Flat Panel that you can get for $550 with stackable coupons when they have promotions that runs at a resolution of 1600 X 1200. That son of a bitch HAS to be amazing! Although again, I don't see how you could really SEE the text of a normal web page and everything would seem so akward when surfing the web.

I would say just downgrade the resolution when during but I take my 17 inch and bring it to 1024 X 768 and it looks all fuzzy and grainy and OVER SIZED text... So, I dunno...

Anyways if you like Hi Res Flat Panels, keep an eye out for the Dell 20.1 inch - fatwallet.com has stackable coupons on all the time.

The IBM Thinkpad T42p has a 15" screen and runs at 1600x1200. It's an excellent display and i've never have any problems not being able to read text :)
