I asked this question over at the zoo but they were too caught up in would you hit it and does this mole look like clinton threads to give it any thought. So here it is, what is it about 70's - early 80's porn that attracts me more to it than to the stuff being shot today? I enjoy all the old flicks with Oral Annie, Linda Lovelace, Ginger Lynn, Tom Byron, Dick Rambone etc. Why is that? It's not that I am really desensitized to it because some of those older flicks can still get me to wave the old flag whereas the vast majority of the new stuff just seems really stale and played out. Is it because that was what introduced me to porn and I still have an "affection" for it?

I came into this business after a pretty good long career as a "porn viewer" as I assume many of you did. I have watched hundreds, if not thousands of porn videos, dvd's, mpegs etc etc. Here is my second question...would that kind of stuff, i.e. more based on story lines and acting, sell better than alot of the stuff out there today? I just see the same thing with a different logo on every tour/site/members area I go to.

Example: Video opens with the guy talking about some girl who is sitting in front of the camera, he asks her some mindless questions about how life is growing up in the midwest, she takes her clothes off and he proceeds to fondle her a bit, she sucks his dick, he fucks her in both holes, pulls out and either a facial shot or an in the mouth shot follows, she either plays with the cum on her tits or shows the camera the cum on her tongue, end scene.

Has that become the template for what makes money in porn?

Granted I have seen a couple sites that are breaking the mold a bit, but just wondered if anyone has any thoughts one way or the other.
