We play this game called "Cranium" in our house with our kids. It's pretty fun and can be mentally challenging sometimes depending on which Cranium game you're playing. Anway, we got a free offer in one of our game boxes and we don't need it so if anyone wants this it's for a $10 gift card useable at cranium.com.
Goto: http://www.cranium.com/zigityoffer and say that you bought "Cranium" then enter this promo code. "g2hiaL 8Ihfu"
Enjoy...

Nice offer! We're big on board games in my family, but my sister already has Cranium so I'll leave it for someone else :)

Just testing my new sig LOL LOL
hello testing testing 1 , 2 , 3
Cranium is one of the best games out!! I love it! Xippy and I got it for a friend for xmas last year and its been well and truly used - especially on girls weekends :biglaugh:
Its also really good for 5am Saturday/Sunday morning after a big night out ;-)
I'm a bit of a board game junkie I must admit - I have about 20 current board games plus a few boxes of vintage games from the 50's and 60's that I collect.
Another good one that Opranauts would be really good at is Baulderdash - its basically a challenge to see who can bullshit each other the best :biglaugh:

Crib .. shout me when you want a game :) I love that game and chess. Sadly not that many people like playing cribbage now and it's a truly underated game.
We bought Cranium a couple of weeks ago for Garys birthday when we had friends over for the weekend.
Definately a great game to play especially if you are drunk :)
We also picked up a game called 'Dirty Minds' from Barnes+Nobles too.
Its a word game where you are given clues like..
4 letter word for a female
Ends in the letter 'T'
The second letter is a 'U'
The answer is?
_U_T
AUNT ;)
I love Crib too...used to play a lot at Yahoo but not so much now.
And the whole reason I first got on line back in August 97 was to find people to play Scrabble with. :)
Very freaky going into the old Ynot chat room using my nick of El-Jai and having Brian (now of FastSize.com) say 'Lisa?!?!'
We knew each other from #scrabble on Undernet, which was a VERY staid channel, so to find each other in a porn chat was a surprise to say the least. :D
A word of warning tho...don't ever play the man, he's a demon!

I'm a huge scrabble fan and even play Literati on Yahoo (Literati is an online version of Scrabble) when I get a chance...I had a rating of over 1800 at one time, but haven't played much lately, so not sure if I still have it or not...

Our family has always been serious game players..... that was what holidays are for...game tournaments!
But, we are only into serious games. Various types of cards & dominoes.

I am a master at ballderdash :)
We play a lot of "sorry" here with the kids.
The negotiations, pleading , alliances made ,make a simple game look like a full meeting of the UN Security Counsel.
I have upon seeing my eldest son or daughter get a "sorry" card used entreaties like:
"The chances of you getting a car when yr old enough revolve around making the correct choice over who you kill with this sorry card."
or the always good:
"If you get me I will kill your dog/cat/snake"

My wife walked through the door last night with a brand new Risk game under her arm...
I'll most likely be offline for a long time this evening :)

We played something over the holidays that was a hoot. You play in teams and have to earn different types of cards by doing odd things like going around and adding a word to a limerick, guessing what someone is writing on your back, spinning around and walking a straight line, etc. I can't for the life if me remember what it's called though :( I'll see if CT remembers.
Pictionary is another fav of ours and playing Yahtzee when the power's out is almost required :)

hmmmmmm how about a monopoly type game...
"Judge says sex.com was stolen -retrieve domain but drop gross 75%"
"Advance to porno.com"
"FTC makes spam allegations - go back only one space and pay token $5 fine"
"Your Chinese Servers are online - mail everyone and tell them"
"Your content company fucked up and didn't practice safe sex -allow for law suits"
It could be called "Circle Jerk" or "Porn Lord"
;-)))
