Damn, I don't know how they did it.
My account was set for high-security (auto reject any transfers)
Never got any emails and my email is working fine.
They moved it to enom.com

And it's a weekend so i can reach anybody over there :(

If anyone has any idea what do in this kind if situation, hit me up: 30144710

You are not going to like the answer, but here it is
(and I also dealt with enom... expect no help from them):

How did they steal the domain from you?

This could be interesting, especially since they were on high security domain lock. I am sorry this happened to you DarkJedi, and would love to know what happens when you speak to them Monday, especially since i have some domains held with them also.

if a domain is locked, and auto transfer shut off, then there is absolutely no way a transfer would go through. unless the domain was left to expire and not reregistered.

are you positive it was locked? it seems like it might have been an oversight.

BUt somehow they took this one.

It appear a hacking group used a keylogger against darkjedi.

DirectNIC customer support was on the ball, with Grimm an owner taking the lead. Of course DirectNIC will do everything it can to help darkjedi get his domain back.

Think we will get an apology or even a thank you from him?

I hope so! Thread title is an absolute shitter :(

People often recommend directnic as the safest place for valuable domains... and I've asked a few times if anyone that had ever had a real problem as a directnic client was happy too... and never seen an answer. It's how a registry handles issues like this, when the shit hits the fan, that matters most to me.

Kudos for the response :okthumb:

Thank fuck it was resolved and glad to see it was the users error/flaw, rather than being a break down in the directic system, If I were female i would want directnic babies ;)

Why should he apologise? He should certainly thank you for your efforts to get it back, but his post didn't attack you guys or anything. He was obviously just trying to get a hold of you guys.

He carried on more at other boards, giving the impression that DirectNIC dropped the ball or was unsecure when neither was the case.

Like they are hard to get ahold of... give me a break.

Ive left email for customer service at 2PM and 2AM. It doesnt matter what time... the email has been not only answered but the issue resolved within an hour.

Directnic is the only place I trust with my "valuable" domain names. Ive been moving them all over there as they expire or when I think about it.

At the very least an apology should have been forthcoming, stating that it was not directnic at fault or error, but rather a user error (keylogger on his system) especially after it was proven.

we use directnic for 3 years and have about 120 domains there. our account was locked because of strange credit card transaction two weeks ago. I contacted directnic representative and we solved the problem in 30 minutes!

I love directnic and will stay with them. But would be nice to lower the price down to $1 per domain! :yowsa:

Directnic is the only company we use for domains as well, professional, secure, efficient and outstanding guys to do business with.
