Defense you say?????

MLB --
Jeremiah Trotter (6-1, 262): Left Philadelphia to join Washington as free agent but now back with Birds and very much at home. Stepped in at middle linebacker after Philly allowed 252 rushing yards in Week 8 loss at Pittsburgh and made huge difference, emerging as Pro Bowler. Rugged performer whose intensity takes teammates to higher level.

DE --
Jevon Kearse (6-4, 265): Signed as free agent to put heat on opposing quarterbacks, and he delivered. Led Eagles in both sacks (71/2) and hurries (21). Known as "Freak" for rare combination of talents. Defensive end with qualities of middle linebacker in ability to make plays from sideline to sideline.

SS --
Michael Lewis (6-1, 211): Aspires to be league's best strong safety, and he's not far from that. Topped Philly with 129 tackles in only second season as full-time starter. Earned first Pro Bowl berth. Relishes contact. Receivers want to know where he is at all times. Excels in coverage.

CB--
Lito Sheppard (5-10, 194): First-round draft choice in 2002, responded to opportunity to become full-time starter with Pro Bowl berth. Tied for third in NFC with five interceptions. Returned two of those for scores, including franchise-record 101-yarder against Dallas quarterback Vinny Testaverde. Superb cover corner.

FS--
Brian Dawkins (6-0, 210): Rebounded strongly after missing nine games in 2003 with foot injury. Named starter in fourth Pro Bowl. One of four NFL players to record at least three sacks and four interceptions. Placed second on team with 95 tackles. Known for devastating hits. Plays with fury that fuels entire defense.

going to be a long day for brady it appears to me !!!!

Pittsburg's defense was a lot tougher. #1 in the NFL.
