Maybe I'm just venting , and then again maybe someone knows who this guy is or if you recognize his info you can avoid having this done to you.

Jan 3rd new affiliate signs up to one of my programs. Over the next week he sends about 100 uniques per day and gets 1 $89.95 signup per day for 6 days straight, which is when I started wondering and checked into how much traffic he was sending and from where.

Of course I found that all the $89.95 signups were with Checks, and all using a hotmail address though they were all different info .

Long story short, this fucker caused a total of $624.55 in returned check signups which were deducted from my check this week

So here's to Mr Francis Beaulieu or Mr Orland Robles who owns www.YoungTeenTGP.Net and sends traffic from www.YoungTeenTGP.Net/real

his email addresses if valid are: iceman504@gmail.com and hammer8290@hotmail.com so please feel free to share as many emails with him for viagra, mortgage rates, cialis, or add him to your site newsletters and well...you get the point

Thanks for letting me rant

Ivy

Sorry you got screwed over Ivy, but may I suggest that you not accept "free" email addresses on sign ups. Webmasters got real domains, they should be able to provide a real email addy. (just imho of course)

btw, it looks like it is registered to a real person at a real address:

Yahoo People Search Comes in Handy sometimes (http://phone.people.yahoo.com/py/lg:us/lc:us/psPhoneEntry.py?firstname=Orlando&lastname=Robles&middleName=&street=2+Oakview+Ter&city=Jamaica+Plain&state=MA&zip=02130-4902&phone=6179831489)

From my experience, whether or not you accept free email addresses from webmasters, the ONLY thing that will protect you from scammers is vigilance...and a little bit of women's intuition. ;)

Ivy, by watching the webmaster, you caught him...tho I'd have been suspicious as soon as he sent thru 2 multi-month signups...that goes against the general surfer buying pattern for sure.

I had an article published in Klixxx regarding webmaster fraud towards the end of last year (or so I've been told...I'm yet to lay eyes on it ;) )

If anyone would like a copy, drop me an email and I'll send it by return mail. :)

Exceptions make the rule

Send enough legit joins and anyone will make exceptions :)

But for smaller proggys it's still not a bad rule, at least get to know the webmasters/companies promoting your proggy

You take all the fun out of it. You got to give them just a little bit of a head start to make it more interesting.

Free emails are conveient , easy to access anywhere.

Mailers really like them.

The other dumb things are "No webmasters from" , on a case by case basis some of those "foriegn" guys aregood.

Just found out he did the same but was able to get away with much more from other programs :

125 fraudulent joins to CashTitans.com, 173 $69.99 joins with PornstarDollars.com and I suspect many others .

Thank goodness I caught him early !!!
