Your best method of traffic generation?

What gives you the most traffic? For me, it's my mailing list. It has become a very powerful tool in my bag of tricks. When I send out my newsletter, it makes me tons of money and brings my dual p4 server to a crawl. I'm also getting about 2K new subscribers a week, so it's only getting better.

The quickest and easiest way to increase page views is to just keep pressing F5.

Seriously though, it's a combination of things. SEO, toplists, paid advertising, press releases, hub site w/network of feeder sites, etc.

I used to do good with email marketing (not spamming), but I am afraid of doing consumer opt-in these days because they may forget they signed up and accuse you of spamming, or afraid the email won't get past the spam blockers.

I think email marketing is still viable, I just have to get up to date on the best way to do it these days.
