Just been speaking to an Eagles fan who seems to think Philly can beat New England.

The aforementioned fan also happens to be a regular on Oprano....

I'm willing to put up $100 that says the Patriots take a third trophy.

Wanna take that bet? :)

Ah, Technick. I have not had the pleasure of meeting you; but, I fear you are going to be writing a check to Dravyk.

My Eagles have to win.

I am getting old and can no longer wait.

I realise they are under a curse....made worse by my leaving Philly for Seattle.

But, I do believe the football g'ds are about to forgive my leaving; therefore, it's the Eagle's year.

Follow THAT logic!!!! :)

I'm sure you could!

But then I'm still reeling from when Kaiser took my money. :P

You would need a real "playa" like Brad Shaw to cover those. Only he has that kind of money in this business. :biglaugh:

Not a chance. My money is as safe as Treasury Bonds :)

Just can't wait to see what the New England defense do to Donovan Mc Nabb.

Eat dirt when they fall face down cause unlike the sitting-duck-target Pat's QB, ours not only runs out of the pocket, he has rushing TDs!

hehehehehe

Can I get a dinner wager between you and I? We only live about 90 miles apart

I'll take the Pats, You take Philly.

Winner travels to the losers city and loser chooses the restaurant. Date (winner brings) included in the dinner package bet. Travel doesn't have to be until spring. I don't get out much in the cold unless it's to go to the airport

Up for it?

The Patriots are the Borg a machine. Resistance is futile.

I enjoy watching them play. I am not a fan of the Pats, or even AFC, but I enjoy watching this team execute.

Yup, and I was saying that even while everyone else had jumped on the Pittsburgh bandwagon. Until someone proves otherwise I'm sticking with the Pats. Nothing I have seen makes me reassess that position.

I hope TO plays on Sunday

2 reasons
1 - a team should win against the best players the other team can field. Then they are truly the dominate team
2 - I don't think TO is 100%, I think TO being in the game will hurt the Eagles. Especially if he's not 100%

We're on then

Have to tell ya if I lose you'll probably get a choice between Admiral Fell Inn, John Stevens, Della Notte (new place in Little Italy) or Copeland's

Looking forward to it either way

Sad to say John Steven's isn't what it used to be in terms of dinner. Chrissy and I dined there Sunday night. Still the best steamed shrimp in Baltimore and great mussels and fresh sushi though

I stayed at the Admiral Fell Inn (LMAO! Always sounds like a joke name.) many years ago. I recall drinking at many places (hic) in Fell's Point ... the name that stays with me is a bar called "And the Horse You Came In On".

I recall eating in your Little Italy as well. Forget the place, but recall it was an interesting Portugese meets Italian hybrid that was surprisingly nice.

Doesn't matter though. That aside, you'll be eating in Philly. If it's late in the season, Rock Lobster at the river front would be open. Earlier than that, there's ... well too many good restaurants in Olde City and Center City to choose from!

Either way, you'll enjoy your visit to Philly, Vick! May I recommend The Omni at Fourth and Chestnut for accomodations. :)
