Alien vs Predator

It was actually really good. I thought so anyway.
And it totally kicked ass on the big entertainment system.

Ummmm.... it was better in the home theater than in the movie theater - at least at home I didn't hear people getting up to yell "Runnnnnnn girrrrrrrl! Get out of there!" lol

It was also better at home for the rewind factor... the very last scene... won't give it away to those who have not seen it yet... but in the dark theater I didn't notice the "punch line" in that final moment - but we saw it last night... VERY cool ending!

Yeah, it was surprisingly good....I couldn't see how they could realistically merge the two in one movie...but they did a great job....and yup.....EXCELLENT ending.

Stephanie picked it up the other day and I really expected it to be re-hash crap.
But it was good... Glad to see others enjoyed it too.

Definitely one of those movies that makes a much better DVD than theatrical release.

Are you kidding? That movie was terrible. I was sorely let down, and i didn't even have high expectations. I'm a huge fan of both the Alien and Predator movies. This was a movie that should never have been made.

To people who are unaware, Alien and Predators have been pitted against one another for a while now.

I think it all started in the Predator2 movie, when you see an alien skull amongst the "trophies" in the Predator's ship.

But its also a comic book serie and 3 video games (Originally on the Jaguar system!)


I think the movie was not what it could have been, but mildly entertaining non the less.

The AVP game was awesome. It had all the suspense of Doom 3 without relying entirely on putting you in a pitch black situation for 90% of the game. Playing as the human character and walkin' about with a bunch of aliens scurrying about in dark corners was fuckin' scary. haha.

Id just start gunning everywhere ;) That's what I was hoping for the movie. The fucking panic... the heavy weaponery, the over-powering Predator...

I hear that. I mean, the Predator is supposed to be totally badass. There was that brief scene in the movie where they showed the history of the pyramid thingy where the predators were initiated or whtever, and it showed literally thousands of aliens climbing up this thing to attack a small band of predators. The predators were killin' these things like they were mere bugs. But then once the predators and aliens meet, 2 of the predators are dead within what, 3 minutes?

And the whole predator/human co-operation was just too damn corny for my liking.

Much better than expected. Definately hangs together better than most Sci-Fi. Only one beef. An alien mother will not attack a host.
