Weird .. I warrant anyone seeing alien and aliens for the first time would disagree.

I would definately have to try this equation out on "the sound of music" that scares me shitless.

Is this really a proven thing?

IMO. I think Silence of the Lambs is more scarier than The Shining.

I found "Silence of The Lambs" to be highly overrated

"Ringu" got under my skin and "The Exorcist" hit me pretty hard when I was a kid...

one of my all time biggest jumpscares though was the ending of "Friday The 13th"

that's almost a banning offense ;-)

I liked Freddy and even have the talking Freddy Kreuger Doll, but Jason is the man...
I'm more of a Friday The 13th Fan, but young, nubile teens being slashed apart can never be wrong cinematically...

well, except I Still Know What You Did Last Summer...I almost had to pout some toilet paper on my video player after that cinematic abortion....

Someone should lose their math degree. :-P

"Scary" is subjective. I don't find blood and gore to be scary at all.

Forgive me for that. I didn't mean it. Just want to sprinkle a little humor in the dark and gothic world of horror.
