Finally. A day I don't have to hang my head in shame.

A day that I don't have to pay the bookie.

THE EAGLES HAVE FINALLY WON THE NFC PLAYOFFS.

Whew.

Now, if they remember they still have another game, we'll be okay.

Well, Joe, so far, Pittsburgh is not stopping them.

"Are Eagles baseball or basketball team?" ---- Serge. Silly rabbit. How are you and my Lady Law?

We need mojo to win the Super Bowl and rid the fine city of Philadelphia of its awful curse.

kath,

this is an anomoly... the patriots have taken advantage of turnovers. Both defenses seem equal, with a slight edge in intensity to the steelers. McNabb wont make the same mistakes Roethlesburger did early.

and besides, it is looking more like a game here in the second half.

Grimm. Kath's the pretty one.

As far as the New England game goes, it looks like the rookie quarterback is going to be Pittsburgh's Waterloo.

And, of course, the third team is out there en masse. Can we say it's a ref's game?

Pittsburgh is going home early, ( at least it is not a long drive LOL)

You are pretty, Grimm.

And, Pittsburgh just gave the game to New England.

Now, the question is this. Can my Philadelphia Eagles beat the New England Patriots, putting the curse to rest, finally.

grimm
01-23-2005, 09:43 PM
its going to be a tough task. Dillon has added a dimension to that offense that just grinds away clock.

But neutral field, one game. sure.. anyone can beat anyone.

I wish terrel was healthy, cause I like the eagles and it is gonna be hard for anybody to stop the Patriots...
Joe, OT is playing in the Bowl; already announced. The wonderful thing is, the way everyone else came out, if he didn't make it, I wouldn't have been worried. There's too many talented folks on this team, or they wouldn't have gotten this far. That said, sure, it will be sweet to have Terrel back again.

i wouldn't count on him starting, or being much more than a diversion.

expensive decoy ;)

We didnt see the full array of the Pats weapons tonight. The run was almost completely stuffed by the #1 run defense in the league...

How is the Philly run D ranked? Oh that's right.... 16th.....

Straight up, Id take the Pats to win.

Er ... Eagles rank 16th in rushing defense, not overall.

Funny thing, a Sunday morning paper said because the Eagles were 16th in rushing defense and the Falcons were first in rushing offense, the Eagles would win last night. LMAO!

24th against the run. great against the pass.

24th was an early December stat.

I like overalls. Eagles were second in least amount of points allowed by their opponent.

Doesn't matter. Eagles will still win!

The Patriots are a machine. They are the Borg. Resistance is Futile!!

To win 31 out of last 33 games in modern NFL is amazing!!

you need to relax ;) You're getting a little crazy.... I know, I know the Eagles dont often get to the superbowl ;)

I just meant the Eagles will have their hands full with Mr Dillon, unlike the Steelers who stuffed him like a turkey...

I see Vinateri kicking another winner....

as sad as it is for me to say this, I really dont think anyone can beat the Patriots they have every aspect of the game covered and Belichick is so prepared...he has an amazing arsenal of weapons......*sigh* but I would love to see someone else win!! GO EAGLES!

Exactly! Last time Eagles were in a Super Bowl was 1980. Before that, 1960.

Last time any sports team won anything of import in this city was the Sixers in 1983.

It's been a loooooooong time a-coming! So you're all just gonna have to put up with my crazy for two more weeks!!
