Not to make fun of it, because it is a good cause and those that donate, or purchase (and actually go through with it) should definitely be commended...
But this one got me laughing out loud:
Vacation of a lifetime, pick the brain of an internet legend.
The trip includes: Airfare to Dallas from anywhere within the US/Canada 2 night...
bids: 16
last Bid: makefuckingmoney 1,800.00
:yowsa:

Id prefer to donate cash directly to a charitable organization. If anyone has one thats doing work other htan the Red Cross please list it here.
Theres a special place in hell for those that are donating ego feeding sessions. Totally pathetic.

Let's bid on things we REALLY want, shall we?
Please add to the list. Remember, this is for charity, so folks should come up to the plate. :gbounce:
How about bidding on ...
- XXXPhoto to cut his hair short
- Nick to publicly go to a convention outside of Vancouver
- Gonzo to eat only salad for two months
- Mike AI to post pro-liberal Democratic propaganda daily for a month
- PD to post pro-conservative Republican propaganda daily for a month
- Enforcer to be emersed in a steel cage in shark waters
What else sounds good?

I'd bid on it LOL
I agree with my partner here.
I really agree with charity , and intent to help these poor unfortunates.
It is a wonderful thing.
But I too dislike the fact that to an extent it is used as a method of selfpromotion rather than simple giving to those in need.

That page at the BBC has links to many varied charities and what they are doing.
I think the Guy Robb who was on the spot there did an awesome job.
Pure class IMHO.
I hope , but doubt , that I would have had the courage to do the same.
