Me neither. That's why I'm asking. Maybe someone else has.

The Sharp Zaurus SL-860 is nice. It's basically a fully functioning mini linux laptop that fits in your hand. Qwerty keyboard, 640x480 resolution, touch screen, display swivels round etc.

It can take CF wireless network cards, although the battery life goes down to around 1hour when it's connected.

As far as uses goes, it's a good smaller alternative to a fullsize laptop.

They're only officially available in Japan, so if you want to get one you need to buy it through an importer who has converted the software to English. A US based company that does this is http://www.dynamism.com/zaurus/

I had a Palm, actually I guess I still own it and it is somewhere in my junk electronics pile, but I only used it for addresses, schedules, and my notes so when I got my Sony Ericsson T610 cell phone which also had all of this and synced with my laptop via bluetooth I stopped using my Palm.

My cell doesn't allow me to easily add things to it using Graffiti hand writing but I just about never did this on my Palm anyway and entered everything on my laptop anyway. My cell does allow stuff to be entered using its keypad and this popup key thingy but the only time I ever use this is if I'm staying at a hotel and I'll enter my room number so that if I end up intoxicate I can find my room again. lol

Basically everything that my Palm did is now in my cell phone so why would I want to carry two things when one does everything.

PDA's.. I've had two of them.. someone gave them to me and I gave them away.. This was a several years ago..

I just bought a new phone, the Motorola V551. This phone does more than those PDA's from years past did. I just love technology..

Just ask for Don Juan - my "handle"

I use mine for scheduling and sync it up with my Time and Chaos on my home computer. With my maintream work I do a lot of site calls, so it is great for not double booking while out and about. (sure beats the tons of slips of paper I used to use..lol). It is great to have when I am at a client and they want to set something up for the next week, I don't have to "check" and call them back, I can do it right then.

Also use it for addresses, phone numbers, playing games when I am stuck somewhere, and if I need to, it also takes pictures and video.

I think it is like any tool you buy, if you make the effort to learn it well, it serves you well. :)
