View Full Version : What about the Bahamas?

Serious thought.

There's Negril, Jamacia in February. There's Curacuo in, I believe, August or October or something.

What about the Bahamas?

My thoughts. First, it's a lot closer, just off of Florida. It's a lot cleaner and safer than Jamaica. It's definitely a ton closer and cheaper than Curacuo.

Best part, there's something for everybody. I'm thinking Nassau. And right connected to Nassau, 10 minutes away across the bridge is Paradise Island and casino gambling at the Atlantis.

So there's accomodations for the high-end spenders who like to drop ten large at the tables, and there's places to stay that are el cheapo and safe. Both places have a good night life too.

Sound good to anyone?

Another nice thing, it's a bit American, a bit British and a bunch island there.

So you can get anything from conk with rice and pidgeon peas, to a martini shaken not stirred, to a Dunkin Donut. Wouldn't surprise me if there weren't a Krispy Kreme there by now.

And while there, one can always open a nice offshore bank too. :)

The Bahamas are actually extremely nice and easy to get to lol

Gary and I went a few years ago and it took us longer to get to Orlando airport than it did to actually get to the Bahamas LOL

pleeeeeeeeeeeeease don't make me go to the bahamas again :cryin: :(

what a fucking shithole!!!
been there twice ... first time I nearly had my feet chopped off after being sucked under a boat while trying to snorkel a DEAD REEF. second time xippy came off a scooter and we spent an entire day arguing with a tour operator who gave us scooter with the wheel half coming off!!!

both times, the fault was on the useless poor excuse for a service/tourist industry on that island. I'm sure its nice, but both times I couldn't wait to leave - and the second time I couldn't believe I was being dragged there again.

has anyone here had a good experience on the bahama islands, and if so, where? I can't believe somewhere that is raved about by so many could be as bad as my experiences.
