It's a damned fine email client.

I have considered totally abandoning a local client and using Gmail exclusively. It's that good.

And I'm a picky bitch.

you can also add pop accounts..

the threading and search features are great.. it is prefect for handling large amounts of email. the spam protection is A+.

I have roughly 4000 messages in my gmail account, im using maybe 4-5% of my alloted gig. the other day i was trying to find a link to a story for a research paper i am putting together. All i had to do was a mkeyword search, and the search feature took over. very quick, had what i needed, didnt need to browse at all.

Anyone try google desktop? i use it over MS search feature now... it allows you to use the google search features and engine on your own PC. IT finds everything, including lost links or images in your temporary internet files, and it is fast.

there are a lot of google products at http://labs.google.com
