Is there A Use for Free Hosting?

Seems that free hosts have gotten a bad rep these days....

If there were one that didn't do anything nasty, other than take a piece of ad space, do you think there is a use for one?

And, more importantly, would you use it?

We have a lot of exfreehosters here..

Some of the biggest.

I owned ftpfh and sexshare and netpondfreehost.

People were always trying to fuck with our banners.

They were great for "skimming" traffic.

IMHO I think there time has come and gone.

I have gone on record, Nick...as one who no longer advocates the use of free hosts....I'm sure we share the same reasoning.

What, then, would you do with fabulous amounts of bandwidth?

I'm pretty much an anti when it comes to freehosts with the possible exception being http://www.revsharehosting.com (and not just because Steve is a good guy and that the man who programmed the backend is the godfather to my children ;-))

owning a freehost? been there, done that, actually did get paid by traffic, inc. and adwealth (dating myself? ;-)) Just too much bullshit to deal with...

What happened to Adwealth? I remember them. I made some nice dollars off their sites.

I'm also familiar with revsharehosting.com.

I've never heard a bad word about them.

Still, the question remains...what the hell does he do with all this bandwidth....other than gallery spots...
