I heard that all the employees were terminated yesterday does anyone know if this is true or not?

I have noticed Roger has been doing a lot of Posting lately to market PK...

Roger seems pretty cool from the times i have met him.

if there is any truth to this, I wonder if they would consider selling.
anybody here talk to them on a regular basis, or know a good contact to talk with?

Pretty typical stuff to be honest Joe. We had to let a couple of guys go on Friday. Maybe it was MY mistake not to make a public issue out of it. But I don't know if it was sour grapes on their parts or public assumptions. In any case I have learned a few important things.

1. Only let go of 1 person at a time. ( to avoid rumors)
2. and make your staffing changes VERY public. tell the why's and whens to avoid confusion.

With all due respect sykkboy, what I meant is the situation was typical of this industry. People love to have the scoop. I have no doubt that Bradshaw posted what he thought was true at the time. It was kinda by design. on our part ( long story, and the boards are not the place for the explanation) . However with that said. the one thing I'll never understand is with multiple 800 numbers and so many ways to contact us. why people don't give us a jingle before reporting our death. To bring a companies health into question is not cool. It may have a negative effect on my affiliates confidence about their money. We have always paid on time everytime. thats why situations like the one that took place last night got a little under my skin.

My objection to several of the threads like this that you've started haven't had anyting to do with Brad Shaw, pro or con.

One of the reasons I've always liked Oprano is that people who stirred up shit about other people did so out of personal experience, not because they read what so&so posted, or because their fragile ego was deflated.

Back in the flat-board days somebody who tried to start or stir some shit without a personal stake in it would have gotten carved up for lunch with a dull knife.

Things change ... maybe the board has gotten kinder & gentler, or whatever ... but don't mistake my distaste for this kind of attention-getting for anything to do with Brad's character.

I've always found buying advertising on Oprano to be an amazing way to reassure affiliates that the sponsor was in great financial shape.

hes always been a friend to me, I don't pick sides when it comes to friends, its bad policy. Ive never had a business relationship with him, so i have no beefs there. I've had a pretty nice friendship with him for a long time, so no beefs there either. His beefs with other people are just that, and vice versa. I can solo tackle just fine myself, don't need to participate in any gang tackling, sorry:)

2. Does he pay on time

I was going to make an observation earlier....

obviously Dave thought it was important to come , register and post.

It is the largest community of the most influencial webmasters in the biz.
I know if it was that important to rush up a post....should be even more important to expose yourself to family.

goodness knows some of my friends don't have sterling reps in this business, but it's always nice to know who your real friends are...

I just find some of what he does juvenile and out of order...if one of my friends acted in such a way, I'd be on him too

so, I'm not one to jump on the "weasel bash" bandwagon, just going on some more personal things I have seen from him...and some personal experiences from back in the NetPond days...

But in all seriousness. We had to release two of our guys on Friday. Sometimes with the amount of attention something like this can bring, I'd almost wish the story was more interesting than that but it really is not.

As far as me finding it important enough to register and post here. I think I said in an earlier post my concern is my affiliates. I don't want them to question if they will be getting paid based on the release of two employees. I suspect even with me posting this I will spend a noticable amount of time answering the ICQ's on the subject. So yeah I found it important to inform Joe and anyone else who was interested as to what really took place.
