It would be a lot more profitable to guarantee a day full of piss. If we want lovey dovey warm fuzzies we can go over to GFY or some such. :yowsa:

One of my favorite bars back in the day was Mother Tucker's in Buffalo (actually Tonawanda or North Tonawanda, fuck if I remember) They guaranteed a fight every night. Used to pack all the rednecks in :okthumb:

You mean like a 'business' section?

Whilst that does sound like a good idea, in reality, what effect would it have on the community overall? It could just sit there and stagnate whilst the main forum continues as it is doing.

I know on a few of our communities we have had specific forums for business topics but those types of threads still got posted in the general forum and, when they didnt, they went unanswered.

Growth IS good but, to much growth in a short space of time WILL end up being counter productive.

Also, you need to think of it from an advertisers point of view, i would rather spend my advertising dollars on a community that as 2 REALLY busy forums than on one that has 5 or 6 REALLY slow forums.

As i mentioned the other day, 'perception' and ultimately, thats what it will come down to.
