Jamaica Feb
Cancun March
Phoenix March
San Diego ??
Miami August
What am I missing?
I'll be in Cancun, San Diego and Miami. We'll have someone in Phoenix but not me due to a warrant for my arrest in Arizona.
When's the San Diego show?
I'm pretty much convention out but I do like seeing old friends at them.
I hate traveling so the Miami show is about it for me.
Why do they call it the Miami show anyway since it is in Hollywood?

The adult industry is going to reach a point of saturation when there are more shows than calendar days, and we will have to petition for one more calendar week, or start having two in the same day. LOL

Why don't you hop a flight over to my side of the country when there's not a show going on? Venice Beach is one hell of a freak show without a bunch of porn people running around it ;)
I'll probably come to Phoenix for a day or so, maybe the same for San Diego. Too early to tell for Miami, but the reality of shows is that they aren't all that productive any more, imo. One thing about living out here, 90% of the people I need to see are within an hour, either flying or driving. Shows for me have really become just a chance to catch up with people that only come out once or twice a year that I actually like to sit down to dinner with or the like.

Jamaica ... Nice, but ... too soon after InterNext, hate the pushy locals make relaxing difficult. Walking through a NYC slum full of homeless begging for money is a breeze compared to the "Negril Phalanx"
Cancun, if I can't stand the "industry children" at Florida, I'm not going to go there at that time.
As Florida has been crossed off my list (for reasons said in posts before) that makes both Phoenix and San Diego viable possibilities.
Both if I can free up time; if I end up having to choose just one, it's still up in the air which.
Montreal is quite appealing too, actually. Though if there is a Vancouver one (cough) that would be appealing as well; maybe more so as I can see how Nick's lovely children are growing up.
... and how fat he's gotten by now. :)

tiuajauna has 8 dollar lobster dinners, and 40 dollar hookers, with tip and bus fare you are full and laid for less that 60 bucks from what I hear LOL
Why do I always get overcharged for everything?
Cuz you had 2!

What happens in Tijuana....stays in Tijuana.
Growing up in San Diego I can tell you some great places to get some REAL Mexican food... not that fluffed up toursity crap. We always take a few people and make a side trip to a couple of local hole in the wall joints.... that's the best place to find those burritos the size of taxi cabs.
Gonzo - we'll have to grab you a Carne Asada while we're down there. I know you'll love it! We never miss it when we go down to visit the relatives.

my favorite place to get authentic mexican food are those little shitty taco stands...the ones with hand drawn signs and menus entirely in spanish...usually family ran and questionable in sanitation...those kind of places make the best food...you just have to have a iron stomach sometimes...
carne asadas are good, but nothing beats puerco al pastor (shredded pork tacos with red onions in the tiny soft corn tortillas)
there's a dirty little place out in North Las Vegas that has them for 79 cents...true heaven...

You're very right Sykk - I think a B rating is at least the minimum requirement. I didn't get that when we first moved to San Diego but I do now. lol
Those little ratty places are the best.... never tried the puerco al pastor (or heard of it for that matter) - they usually just call the pork tacos in SoCal carnitas and I never really got into those. My fave is still the rolled tacos with sour cream, guacamole and a shit-load of super hot made-fresh today hot sauce! Yum!
You'll have to tell us about that place next time we hit Vegas - would love to have Burtros try it out. He's always looking for the ultimate Mexican restaurant everywhere we go.... sadly, Palm Springs area has no clue on how to make carne asada or anything authentic. They all want to stick rice/beans in it - yuck! Can't wait to get back down to SD for some real Mexican food!

sounds like a plan
we'll need a group because the neighborhood is a bit rough...but maybe we can have some entertainment mixed in with the dining and there will be a gang shooting while we're stuffing tacos in our mouths...
Kath, I agree, B rating = quality Mexican food ;-)
yeah, some places here call them carnitas as well...basically the same thing except the red onions, carnitas usually don't have ponions or they use a small amount of white onions
The Pink Taco in the Hard Rock calls them pick tacos and they pickle the onions....

No worries - like I said, there's some people I wouldn't want to be confused with (like another Kath that came on the boards a few years ago - *shudder*) but Kathi's cool.

100% doing AOE in Prague in April definately.
180% in Florida in August.
245% back in Vegas next January.
310% doing GLIB in Sydney in March 2006.
Oh and now CJ is moving along to the bogsmoke I would imagine the chance of another Aussie Webmasters Gathering mid-year are about 1 million percent.

Hey Mate,
Be good to meet you as well my friend.
Meat (being typical of his countrymen in language & demeanour) was actually talking about being Downunder in march sometime and I was thinking of maybe arranging something for around then.
Opti and Baldy would be certainties, and I am sure Nick would be there as well, because I would imagine CJ will be central to it now she is going to be in the Olympic city....
Dean would unlikely come down, but at $150 return you should check out Queensland as well anyway, and hooking him for a breakfast should be no drama.
I am organizing GLIB for March 2006 (NEXT year), but more on that later.
Just hit me up, or better still, talk to CJ. We can make it happen.

Okay heres a 'hypothetical' question for any of you who may have programs...
If we were to hold a GWB event at this year Cybernet Expo, would any of you be interested in a cost effective sponsorship option?
We're looking at a corporate sponsorship level for the event presently and wanted to know how much interest there would be in holding the first gay market event during this years Cybernet.
As with all the GWB events, the sponsorship would be used to off-set the cost of the event and any funds not used would be refunded to the sponsor on a pro-rata basis :)

OMG solid gold rawks! i was there at the last florida show and i swear the women were sooooooooooo freakin aggressive they kept trying to get me to take off my shirt. they had no luck but it was HELLA FUN!
As far as tripping at solid gold, that might not work. Shrooms are more of a mental high than physical (it least for me) either way its much better when you are around close friends in a comfortable enviroment.
