Fucking Ice

Looks like a major storm is heading into the area. There is already ice forming on all the trees and wires. They are saying it might be as bad as a storm we had back in Januray 2002 which left us without electric for 3 days. The broken branches from that storm are still falling from my trees every time the winds get nasty.

Fuck.

Anyway, if I disappear, someone please send out the Saint Bernards for me and this time don't drink the fucking brandy first like last time.

No offense, my friend, but I for one wouldn't mind if the storm just kinda died and stayed right above you. As it stands, it's bearing down on me.

As it stands, we're looking for 36 hours of shitty weather ... snow, rain, and ice, with the ice being dominant (1/2 to 2" possible).

i feel for ya, and I right there with you.

I live on a lake in the middle of the woods, killer place in the summer but this winter has been the worse I have seen in 20 years.

Right now, we got over 4 inches of solid ice where our roads should be, NO cars can make it more then 20 feet without sliding sideways into one side of the road or the other (Which is a 6 foot snow and ice bank)

Yesterday It took us 4 hours and 5 tows to get 1 mile :( and after that we decided fuck it and parked the truck at the main road and "slid" back to the cabin, now we have to walk a mile in the snow just to get to the fucking truck lol

Fuck snow, Fuck ice, FUCK WINTER :(

Still coming down here ... now they are saying that we'll have 1/2 inch of ice and 3-4 inches of snow before it's done tomorrow night.

It is here too.. I may have spoken too soon.

It has turned to a sleet mix that is covering the ice sheet and starting to pile on top of the frozen branches on the trees... :(

Woke up to a dusting but no ice thank goodness... Appears we dodged everything but the heavy rains (knock on wood)... Next week, not sure we'll be as lucky with that biggie brewing to the west.
