Meat, I believe that over the years and all the changes L&O went through, Orbach was the only original actor to remain throughout.

Actually, although he was on there for 9 years, he wasn't in the original cast. He took Paul Sorvino's place in the third season, although he played a defense attorney a couple of times in the first two seasons.
