sponsorchat con busted I owe him !
FantasyMAN is scamming again.

The board is a con to make people pay for advertisement and scam sponsors and webmasters alike. It is hurting our business and it has to stop now.

We spotted for quite some time this mate TheButcher. In 2 month he knows more about the internet than most of us in 9 years. HE IS NO NEWBEE.

TheButcher and his moderator are posting 99% of the board's messages. Out of 7000 members, less than 50 are active. His fake usernames are all recorded , screen captured and will be made public. All those self-made members have no email address, no signature and no business as they are nicks behind thebutcher. He registers his own usernames, posts with those usernames creating the impression that sponsorchat.com is very active hoping to screw advertisers.

Sponsorchat has disabled the following options: members list, members profiles, search options, etc. to hide the information of his self made members. His only memebers are 10-20 well known people from the industry that were fooled by Ron to come post. He never paid out any of the money or contest he runs ( servers, cars, trips, cash money). All the supposed winners are his own usernames so no prize is given away.

The con is this: Ron and Butcher fools people in beleiving the board is second biggest to GFY. Advertisers pay for banners. He makes a guick penny and fame.

I want this board closed and his con reveled. The only question is: WHY IS RON RISKING EVERYTHING FOR THIS SCAM? IS IT REALLY THE FEW THOUSAND DOLLARS A MONTH THAT HE WILL MAKE FROM SELLING ADVERTISMENT WORTH HIS NAME AND REPUTATION? WHAT'S YOUR POT SHOT ON IT?

Ron isnt involved in any scam with this board and Butcher is a newbie. Rons always helped newbies, I think this is just a case where Ron saw something that looked interesting to him and butcher needed some help so Ron obliged. The board has been around longer than Rons invovlment thats for sure.

Most of the "members" came from mainstream paid to post forums like getpaidforum.com

Cant comment much on the scamminess of it but if it is a scam then Ron is being taken for a ride with everyone else.

Currently Active Users: 1319 (35 members and 1284 guests)

His user stats kind of tells a story tho lol, how would a board been around for a month or two have so many "guests", where is that traffic coming from? He doesnt have any external links anywhere, the board is to new. Netpond has been around for 7 years or so, we have links everywhere and the most guests we get is 100 or 200 at max.

Traffic rank on Alexa is 570,250 which tells another story lmao.

Butcher runs his threads with 10 posts per thread to make threads look busy.

Butcher suffers from delusions of grandeur thats all.

Theres a setting in Vbulletin that allows you to set the time that must pass for a user to be counted as online.. you can set it to be as many seconds as you like.. If I set mine to 604800 I could show thousands online right now :)

Also, divide the number of members into the number of days to see how many new members he needs per day and then go watch the "newest member is" for a while. He gets maybe 2 per day ..

Want to see something funny? View a thread and check the view counts. Refresh, the counts never go up. That's because they are manually edited in the SQL tables ..

people in this business are so bizarre. companies like nasty dollars focus on one thing and do it well and people recognize that and they prosper. the affiliate site looks like it was designed by a retarded 3rd grader. but its all they need. no bs. no text that looks like it was written by a 10th grade wigger. no inflated sense of self. no moronic lines about how great they are. no hype and flashy graphics to sell the same old shit that everyone else is selling under the pretense that it is somehow different or better. just business. just like any company should. the bulk of people in this biz hide behind lies, drama, excuses and scams and can't figure out why they experience such limited success. just like in mainstream, great and lasting companies are built on principles with principled, focused and disciplined leaders at the helm. the product/service is not nearly as important as the person/people behind them.

with that, i would suggest that a message board is in fact a community. a community is more than post counts. its about relationships, friendships, entertainment, value/information, support or friends and everything else that makes up every social system. you can't bypass that necessary foundation and build a community. you can only build a network of scammers and sig whores.
