First Internext that I am not attending!

This will be the first major convention I have missed since 1996. While I will miss not seeing some of my friends, I am extremely happy that I am not going!!

Sounds like a lot of people really aren't wanting to go - or just aren't feeling the *need* to go to the Vegas show this year. What happened? It used to be the show to see/be seen of the year...

I love Vegas - well, just Las Vegas... I would be happy just going for shits & giggles - we try to get there a couple times each year.

But it's odd... a lot of people I have spoken to aren't attending, not having a booth (we aren't) or are just sending sales reps - or are maybe just flying in for a day or two. Must just be Vegas and not the industry shows as a whole because those not attending are all saying "see you in Phoenix" or "see you in San Diego" - I think this will be a pivotal show for Internext in many ways.

Seems it's the weather that dictates my presence at a show lately. Why would I leave a perfectly gorgeous Montreal August to go to hot and humid Florida?

The January show however, I like to stay an extra day and golf. B)

Congrats on being retired from the industry! I'm not going to Internext due to my wife being 5 months pregnant, but I'm glad. While I will miss seeing old friends and certainly miss meeting with clients, I don't think it's necessary anymore. I do more biz on the phone now than ever before. If a deal calls for me meeting the client face to face, I am only a plane ride away!

With that said, I wish I could retire from the industry and focus solely on our mainstream business! Anyone want to buy and adult design company? j/k! wait.. no I'm not. Or am I? Seriously, any offers? hahah!

See you when you get back to Tampa Mike! Maybe when you get back to TAMPA we can do some BUSINESS ? lol
