I got a great tip today from an Oprano family member , I thought I'd share it.

Its so simple...and so RIGHT ON!!!

Whether you are looking to see if your paysite redesign is going to work...
If you wanna know which programs sites convert....

""List it on a TGP , have garbage traffic fired at it. If it converts1 in 500 or under ,then turn all your "premium" traffic on it.

So obvious really , but frankly , so fucking right!!

Thought I'd share it.

Any comments?

Hitbot traffic is where it's at. It doesn't convert, but man, you can get alot of hits!

I hear they are getting more and more trash and bot traffic in their system... some keywords are filled with high % trash/bot traffic than other words, so keep a close eye on single words - and complain to google everytime you notice something fishy going on...

Google free traffic still rocks.....but my friends who use adwords are not very happy bunnies lately.

One thing i notice from my google traffic is bigger % of foreign hits(especially eastern europe). Could explain any decline you see.
Maybe they all getting puters for xmas.

i am hearing all kinds of things about google traffic. It used to do good for me. Free traffic and adwords. BUt the adwords are really not doing well lately. I am not sure if it is me but i know that it is just to easy to give google the blame right away. Hope i have found the problem soon.

This is a 1 month old article about google click fraud.

....
Click fraud is an elephant in the room of the search-advertising market, the fastest-growing sector of online advertising. While no one is certain of how much money is generated fraudulently, some executives in the industry estimate losses account for 5 percent to 20 percent of total sales. Some suspect the problem is growing, too, as Google, Overture and others syndicate their ads to small or international publishers that can be hard to police.

Think this "reply" deserves it's own thread.
