Nope , not even the latest reincarnation of Springer. He wasn't banned

He was run off!!!!

I , personally , and I know gonzo agrees , far prefer the "Run the wanker off the board with its tail between its legs" a la Springer.

Over the , " he/she is a dickhead" , ban them.

Any thoughts?

Anyone know how I can block an ip on someones router? Is that possible? I wanna block gfy on her network...

If you have access to her machine you can edit the host file located at




Windows XP = C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
Windows 2K = C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC

You know, this seems logical Nick. At first.

But then one reads a thread, oh, let's say the new one by m00d or whatever ... Flashbacks of all the many posts by many wankers and psychopaths start flooding one's mind ...

So, on second thought. Nope. Not only do some people need to be banned, but some folks are either too stupid or too much glutton for punishment to be able to be run off.

Another thought ... get an ignore feature added to this board and each of us can make our own decisions on a case-by-psycho, er, case basis.

Ok, i've got myself together enough to type again....

Here are probably the two easiest ways to do it:

1) Go into her hosts file and put in entries for any domains you do not want her to get to and give them either an invalid IP or map them to go to one of your favorite tranny sites. Use an invalid IP so she'll just get a 404 if you wanna be "discreet" about having messed with it. I had to use this technique recently to ween GonZo off of blumpkin sites.

2) If you have the password to her router, go in and hit the static routing table. Enter the IPs you do not wish her to reach and basically hose 'em. Sending them to an unreachable gateway will do the trick nicely.

I, unfortunately, from personal and VERY expensive experience know that NOT to be true.

An engagement ring may have the desired effect for a time, but as soon as the band on the finger and the "I do" happens along, any power assumed previously is removed fortwith upon return from Honeymoon.

"You can't do that" or "NO, I don't want to" from you is quickly replaced by "Yes dear".

I won't be getting married again in any hurry.

And my advice dude? Just don't post shit you don't want her to read, or trade her in.

ONLY follow the second option IF you can afford a newer model. Think about it.

But it should be used as a scalpel rather than a sledgehammer.

If a real dick , as Dravyk describes , just will not be run off and is disturbing the board members , I think gonzo and I would certainly ban.Only asfter exploring other remedies though
