Technically.....

Scottpb used the term to describe members of his staff , whom he could "not be assed" to learn their real names, back in 97/98.

As in , "Hamster No4 go get me a drink"

But I will allow it. ;-)))

I was far more polite.

I always called our most junior staff member "Trevor" as having had a Trevor I had beceome very good at yelling that name.

"One thing...do you mind if I call you Trevor?"
"errr I suppose not."
"Great , Trevor welcome to Whitcon"

Using names was necessary as previously I had always bellowed "OI , Homo!! Get in here"

Until 4 faces peered round the door and Redlion said "You really are going to have to be more specific."

Later when I employed a load of GFYers , we used a megaphone and hidden camera...
