Since then begining at YNOT :

I was told "blindlinks are bad , mmmkay".

I decided against listening to them and adopting their morals, and did it.
Made a fucking fortune.

I was told "consoles are bad, mmmkay"

Fuck I wish I had got into that early when hooper and wiseman did!!!


In each case when I did it there was no fucking law against it at the time of doing it.
All there was stopping people doing it was the opinions of the moral majority.

The people that pushed the envelope in this business have one thing in common.
They made fortunes.

The people that said " blah blah blah , is bad , mmmkay" have one thing in common.
They are poor.


Fuck half of the "is bad mmmkay" actions are now considered totally acceptable.

When you said 'honesty' I was thinking honesty in deals between companies....and, for the most part, I think there IS honesty there....

You aren't talking about honesty here, you are talking about agressive marketing techniques and the people who have disagreed with them in the past. Yup....lots of people have disagreed over the years....but, I don't believe that makes them dishonest...

You say it yourself....those who disagreed are broke...this means that they really did believe they were right and did NOT utilize those ideas.... = broke.

If they were being dishonest, they'd be rich and hypocrites. ;)

I agree with you Nick... Lots of dishonest people in this business. I would say that 95% or more of the people who have had great success in this business did something dishonest in the eyes of others. Maybe it wasn't dishonest in their eyes.. like blind links and email marketing but somebody didn't like it.

Not everyone is crooked.. but just about everyone has been crooked at some point in time.. as I said.. in the eyes of others if not in their own eyes.

I had a Deputy Sheriff come to my house the other day.. was looking for a car that is titled in my wifes name. Apparently someone called the police department on that car, two counties away. The person that made the call felt that the driver of that car was driving aggressive. The police didn't catch that driver but they did ask the Sheriff's department TWO counties away to go find that driver and apparently give them a scare. haha.. I was the driver of that car on that day. I don't remember driving aggressive.. but someone else thought I was. I didn't do anything wrong.. in my eyes.

They said I was tailgating.. I NEVER DO THAT. If someone hits the brakes it is my fault for hitting them. It would never happen.

Russia is an untapped market for premium rate never been done before at the level we are going in at.

We not sure how big our fortune will be... but the industry in UK alone is 2 billion pounds per year and Russia is bigger potential market.

Today we got agreement in principle from the major Russian telecoms carrier.

Pushing the envelope does pay off to a certain extent but we got the russian opportunity because we dont push the envelopes.

This is something else that I'd learned about immediately after I quit working for him. I had no idea that this was under suspicion. I was furious that the woman who had won the $$$ never ever came to the board to say thank-you, never posted at all - I was young & naive then and believed the story about her just starting out, being new, etc. etc. I wish I'd known then that the other officials had suspected him... it might have made me not trust him so much later.

I like that. A lot. And I am constantly grateful I get to do business and spend time with men such as that. It makes life a pleasure.

I admire Scotty and other similar old school operatives immensely - they NEVER bullshitted, and they would take it to your face as well. I respect that.

What I fucking hate (apart from shaving !!) is little spineless pricks who try and fuck you over and run and hide. And we have LOADS of them in this biz - old school and not-so old school.

I probably would be lot richer now had I not taken the attitude in this biz to be "true to myself", but I don't regret it for a second, I am hardly poor, I don't have a ego to feed and I don't look over my shoulder, and I don't take shit from anyone.
