In respect of unwanted spam posts on the main forum..

Rather than redirecting the spam post.. why not move it completely to the BS board?

By just putting a redirect there your in effect making the post stand out, whilst, if you remove it from the general forum completely.. it will get the attention it deserves ;)

Sometimes I want it to get the attention..

The readers of this board , on the whole , are players.

They are not gonna go "Oh fan -fucking-tastic , I must go sign up".

This ain't gfy where the sheep will go where they are told to , or where there is free booze or porn stars past their cell by date.

This is GFY where the people make a note of another total tosspot they won't ever do business with.

:)

Hope that is a satisfatory explaination :)

Lee I do exactly that.
Nick is a much kinder gentler person than I.

I posted in another thread we trying out different directions for the future of Oprano.

Its been more successful to blatantly do them and watch the reaction as opposed to running a poll or something. Regulars such as yourself react swiftly for the postive and the negative. And I know I appreciate the feedback.

After alll it is the regulars that define Oprano and the new blood that helps to determine the direction we continue in.

Lots of things being discussed and tried in the background.

I do think one of the solid policies is going to be to send your announcements or press releases via email to be posted on Oprano Plus.

Thoughts?

Now emailing the PR's can be counter productive.

Instead, why not have a moderatoed section of the board where people can post their PRs (thus increasing your post count) and only active the PR's once you have approved them.

This way, you still gain 'posts' even from the PRs that you dont activate and, you dont have to waste time by checking, reading and, replying to emails ;)
