When I get bored - I retire,

I find new project to run.

Projects are like women when you are a 20+ years lad:
you fall in love, you can't live without,
you separate, you sad, and than you find another object to fall in love with to start the cycle all over again 'till you reach 30+

I have ex-lovers come stay with me. I have one here now and another coming on the 15th.

Once they figure out that I have no interest in sex due to looking at nasty nekkid pics all day they move on and leave me alone.

Porn is great and keeps me from getting hurt in nasty relationships while allowing me to shop until I drop.

The day to day grind of on line porn is basically boring and ignorant

However the $ keeps me in and occasionally grinning

Sometimes I try to look at the big picture and get satisfaction from accomplishments and then new challenges

That doesn't help much when Photoshop is open and I'm removing pimples from some models ass or working on new business that is somewhat dependant on others

Also teaching others (not on boards) can be somewhat rewarding

Bottom line, it beats being a marketing director and working 60+ hours per week, married to the company

For about 2 years I pretty much went wild. Not only was it the boredom but also the lack of challenge and the insane amount of hours one dedicates to this business had caught up to me.

I'd had a website that had reached No1 on counters (hell across all my sites supposedly 1 out of every 20 webusers visited daily!!), had the No1 Adult Web resource and was grossing over a million in a good month.

So , I went nuts!! Pretty much.Luckily I could afford to.

I came back down to earth when it went to far and also when I got "the hunger" back.

I wanna see if not only can I do it all again , but being lucky enough to survive the wild years , not only come back , but sustain it.

Depends what aspect of porn you are involved in.

I do graphic design, so there are some weeks im pumping through projects, got the creative juices flowing, and cranking out wicked designs. Other weeks i have enough trouble putting together simple banners. Its hard to be creative on cue, especially with internet porn where alot of it tends to be 'that worked, so rinse and repeat' ...

I find taking a bit of time out and getting away from the computer does it for me. From a creative point of view, taking some time out, even just chilling outside for a few hours not doing anything, letting my brain chill out, tends to bring me back to work with a fresh perspective and a renewed attitude towards work.

Take some time off. Get out of town. Read a book that has nothing to do with business. Cook some alligator chili. Get drunk in the middle of the day. Spend a shitload of money on something stupid.

After all that, I'm usually motivated to work again, especially the last one.

I read.

i find something of interest and learn everything about it, write out a document on what ive learned, and then repeat.

sometimes i try to see if the knowledge i have gained has practical application in a given marketplace.

I consult for VC friends from time to time, it is the perfect opportunity to dip my feet into another end of business without getting too involved, plus you make a little money, and get paid to read, learn everything about something and apply its practical application. But without the stickyness of having to partner up with people you'd rather not partner up with. I have the good fortune of having very bright partners. A lot of the people i help out would not fit into that category:)

I used to like to play sports before i blew out my knee.

what else...oh yeah, i used to go out and party like a madman all night, but im getting too old for that shit:)

I spent 7 years being up all night, and ill spend the next 7 trying to get a good nights sleep

Cleo... I am not the best one for suggestions really.. relate all too well to how you feel. Far too selfish to change my life for anyone I've met recently... and no interest in some stranger's messy sex needs either LOL

I don't think it is really sex.. but the cuddle option sounds ok to me too ;)

Got some pricings from a family member for Eastern Europe that looked good.
