View Full Version : Oprano Server Move Complete....

Ok,

The server move is complete......

You may notice that it is running a little slower right now....

Why??

To save major down time and outages while the DNS gets transfered, what I did
was move the database to the new server.

Now Oprano has to get its data from a server not on the same network.

As the DNS servers update, you will be moved to the version of Oprano on the
new server...

then it will fly....

It was the only way to do the move with out major service interuption.

lol.... wait a couple of days till you get move the the new server....

A little slow, but not too bad.

Of course you know that dns changes only take a few minutes no adays right :)

Well techncally, the change goes into effect instantly on the Main DNS server's
but depending on your prevevious settings for the zone record it can take some time for the changes to progate out.

And there are a number of larger company that override you settings and do what they want.

ya I know... I tried to hack in but but security was to tight...lol

I don't have access to the domain.. and the current host has been .... well.... um

so.....
