how does that compare to Fogo de Chão?

my ex girlfriend is from the part of Sao Paulo that the original owners of Fogo were from.

better? worse? i think there is a Fogo in Atlanta, pretty sure.

new orleans needs a Churrascaria bad. If i ever open a true restaurant, that'll be the one.

Sports bar is first though. This is a sports town without a decent sports bar downtown, shame.

Nope, never been. Been to a couple in NYC, one in dallas, and houston and atlanta.

there is a definite difference in quality ive seen. you would think the concept would be simple. I am told that the Restaurants in Brazil are much better, as the Beef is of much better quality and variety.

The USDA doesn't do enough good to justify the bad cuts of meat;)

Sal is right up there with Fogo!

Excellent cuts of meat, sweet service, great bar!

Fogo might be just a touch better but you have to go to Buckhead.

The USDA suck because they don't recognise good beef. Really good beef.

yeah what i meant was, the USDA is not necessary as it does nothing but prevent really good cuts of meat from getting into the US. they at least need to lower their standards.

so USDA=bad

other cuts of meat= a whole hel of a lot better (and better for you) than shit on US grocery store shelves

Atlanta has several churrascarias.... I can think of 6 off the top of my head. Feel free to ask for the GonZo and Hellpuppy table at any of them.... :D

Sal Grosso is excellent. Like Fogo, it is an authentic brazillian chain and not a clone. The other 4 locations are all in Sao Paulo. I'd rank Fogo ever so slightly better because I think they're more consistent and the service is typically a tad better.

But as GonZo said, during the peak holiday shopping center, going into Buckhead on a Saturday evening is a fucking adventure. Sal's is much easier to get to.

Hehehe :awinky: ONLY because I used to work over there and we ate in that area a lot.

That said, I also grew up around Perimeter and got lost getting there. I'm probably confused as to where it actually is and will still end up calling for help from the other side of the state.
